Hand of God (Night) - Guards a target. If any player not aligned with the Hand of Byzantium visits them they will be bled by you. This does not stop their actions. - Infinite uses
Deus Vult (Night) - Attacks and kills two targets. You will also die of exhaustion the night they use this ability regardless of the ability’s outcome. - 1 use
Defeat the Unseen or Cult and any neutrals that seek to do you harm.

We (Ici) did the math. Especially with so many bulletproof neuts this is usually going to be anti-BD to use Deus Vult.
It’s extremely bulky and frustrating for exactly Unseen though due to Providence.

Hand of Byzantium Killer
Royal Blood (Passive) - Your votes for Emperor will count twice.
Schuld (Passive) - If you have killed any Hand of Byzantium-aligned players in the match, then you will not be allowed to receive votes to become the Emperor.
Versetzen (Day) - Grants night immunity for the coming night. If any attack is blocked then you will gain a use of Zornhau. - 2 uses
Mittelhau (Night) - Redirects the selected player’s action to you while also granting yourself immunity to all redirected attacks and conversions, then attack the player. If you successfully kill a player then you will gain a use of Zornhau. Disables the your night abilities if the target is aligned with the Hand of Byzantium. - Infinite uses
Zornhau (Night) - Prevents you from being occupied or redirected, then attacks the your target and kills them, bypassing healing and night immunity. Disables your night abilities if the target is aligned with the Hand of Byzantium. - 0 uses
Defeat the Unseen or Cult and any neutrals that seek to do you harm.

This is a vig.
It exists and is crazy at cleaning house if played well.

The Thaumaturge

Hand of Byzantium Killer
Thaumaturgic Focus (Passive) - You are immune to being occupied at night and immune to target changing.
Sigil of Thunder (Night) - Sets a Sigil of Thunder on your target, causing them to explode and kill the player before they are converted while also putting the conversion on cooldown. You are notified if the Sigil explodes and recasting this spell will change which player has the Sigil. The Sigil will not activate if the conversion happens the same night it is placed. - Infinite uses
Sigil of Fire (Night) - Sets a Sigil of Fire on your target, causing them to explode and kill any player that attacks the target, but does not prevent any actions against them. You are notified if the Sigil explodes and recasting this spell will change which player has the Sigil. The Sigil will not activate if the attack happens the same night it is placed. - Infinite uses
Defeat the Unseen or Cult and any neutrals that seek to do you harm.

Raging Axes (Night) - Attacks and kills a player. If the target was Hand of Byzantium-aligned, then you will lose his night abilities and they will be shown as Unseen or Cult to faction checks. - Infinite uses
Taunt (Night) - Redirects the target’s night action to the yourself. Redirects past the second night will trigger Combat Ready. - One use
Defeat the Unseen or Cult and any neutrals that seek to do you harm.

I’m not sure how Combat Ready interacts with immunity bypassing abilities. Could this be made clear?
Taunt seems to make Combat Ready proc against all attacks that night it is used. Is this correct?

Overall most of these seem fine.
Crusader seems lul in Unseen games.

HoB seems really reliant on at least one of these rolling.

Deus Vult is supposed to be a method of clearing out the PoE by removing the user if they are under suspicion alongside other players.

Duelist is pretty much a vig that can also redirect players onto themselves while also potentially being able to kill classes with night immunity.

Warrior dies even with Combat Ready if they get hit by a immunity-bypassing attack, though if the attacker doesn’t have immunity they die as well.
Taunt makes it proc as long as it doesn’t bypass immunity.

Ultimately, yeah. The lack of Prince makes HoB Killers very needed for the faction to win.

Step two to getting good at FM: Appearance

If you want to be read well you need to look good in more ways than the obvious one. Your choice of PFP may seem irrelevant, but if you are hyper concious about your personal image you may want to think about it heavily.

The more important thing I’m going to note is how you present yourself in thread. As either alignment you are trying to find scum, and that usually entails trying to be reasonable with other players. Most of the time trying to solve the game by yourself doesn’t work, so that’s what the rest of the players are for.
If you come off as annoying or frustrating to play with, players generally won’t listen to you, even if you end up being right.

At the beginning of the game, you are PM’d a rolecard. First off, check the wincon. This will evaluate how you are going to be playing this game. Typically it will either involve defeating either the informed minority or the uninformed majority.

If you rolled town, then you know you are town. Your voice is important to get your thoughts out.
If you rolled scum, then you know everyone’s alignment in most game types. You also know who your teammates are, which is important. You need to make sure to work with them to overpower the town.

By looking at this guide you shouldn’t expect to be a god instantly out of the gate. The most important thing in mafia is acting with intentionality.
Practice and experimentation are extremely important. You shouldn’t sit idly by and let the TLs play the game for you even if you think that you aren’t as good at reading.
