Full disclosure on what just happened there:

I started to read Possessed as a wolf, (incorrectly, as it happens). I noticed that after they got a token villageread from me it felt as if they’d lost all steam, as if they were an apathetic wolf. Their answer to my questions seemingly confirmed that, so I used the context of me and Litten “playing chess” to set up a coordinated wagon at the exact same moment to see if we got a reaction.

Unfortunately, we got EXACTLY the wrong reaction.

sigh I thought it would be neccecary to take a risk. See, I know you’re smart enough, looking at the cult rolecards to realise that there is probably at least one “confirmable” class that is in fact possible to imitate with starting cultalts.
