Alternatively, Geyde is going to play the role of train conductor and run over Maxwell like there is no tomorrow - or distance himself like a true… distancer.
I tried to come up with something witty and failed.
Geyde still refuses to acknowledge the post I made right after the ‘mindmeld’. However, he is trying to agree with me, which is another way you can clear yourself as cornered scum. Or, well, try. Because agreeing with your accusers is one thing, but getting them to accuse someone else is the much more difficult part.
And now Geyde will demonstrate a brave attempt to shift the focus to his ‘null reads’ while simultaneously ignoring my points about Arete and Maxwell. In his universe, Arete and Maxwell may as well not exist right now. What matters is saving his own skin because he knows he cannot possibly save theirs. And that requires agreeing with me, then convincing me I was wrong on specifically him. After that, he can freely become a bus driver and murder his scumbuds with little hesitation. Maxwell has already given up, after all, clearing the path for him to try and do this.
Here, Geyde demonstrates something we call a ‘setup.’
Geyde is setting up the opportunity for him to come to a ‘natural’ conclusion that Maxwell is scum. In short, he is stalling and waiting to come up with good-looking progression on Maxwell. When he does, he can bus Maxwell in hopes of getting the heat away, while holding onto a new defense - that ‘his progression on Maxwell was objectively towny, he just came to that conclusion later than the others. Thank you Vulgard, you are town, you were wrong about me but correct about Maxwell. Let’s lynch scum together.’ However, as with most strategies of getting the heat off of you as scum, you have to stall to achieve all this unless you are really good at improvising towny posts and progression.
And Geyde is clearly stalling here. To whose benefit is he stalling? Only his benefit. And maybe his team’s.
