I expressed my words poorly, what I still meant is that Shurian did indeed check Magnus’ alignment or not at all, to ensure to give towncred that cannot be doubted and make both Shurian and Magnus suspicious.

It would make perfect sense to elect the godfather as King with an omega action. If we just stuck with Shurian’s greencheck on Magnus before he got kinged, Magnus could’ve endgamed without having to do anything. It’s +EV and a good strategy as long as scum can keep the thread off Magnus (which Kyo successfully did with the thunderdome).
