I think the circumstances of his Prince soft in the NFoL are kind of different from the circumstances here; in the NFoL he was planning to claim Hunter, and he softed Prince so as to set up a scenario where he could later claim he was hunterbaiting. Here there’s pretty much actually no reason for Marshal to claim Mystic.
