Vulgard originally kinda ignored it and then went marshal bad after a little questioning.
And after the reveal he was still convinced it was a scumslip which was a little weird.

You definitely planned it, don’t get me wrong, but it shows a definite insecurity on your half about the test: why didn’t you think the reaction test would speak for itself?
You installed fucking morse code into the statement, as if you’re insecure that people would believe you. Surely you wouldn’t have to explain why something being dropped from wolfchat is a reaction test, would you?
And I clearly convinced some that it was real.
If I didn’t do the code and did everything else I did, most would still think it was a real scumslip, I garuntee

Just explain it’s a reaction test, what you hoped to acheive, and the methodology you used in constructing the fake wolfchat statement. But you didn’t do that, did you?
I was insecure that people wouldn’t believe it, because I tried to make it as convincing as possible with the fake panic “lolreactiontest” right after:
Did you get anything from the supposed reactiontest other than ‘Vul maybe possibly a wolf’?
You went through so many hoops, so many ways, to make sure the reaction test looked like it wasn’t covering for something to the point it didn’t look real. It’s so unatural, and I don’t think any villager curves that far out of the way to do something as ridiculous as that with almost no aims and no real analysis of the aftermath.
That’s why I think Marshal is a wolf; his reaction test bullshit is pretty obviously a wolf gambit to try and get read as v once you start thinking about the motivation behind how he twists and bends out of the way to make the test look like it definitely wasn’t a fake.
What I wanted to do:
Catch wolves who have trouble faking tone when they know I am V. Or find town who find good reasons to push me that they’d actually have to be reading into my alignment to post.
So arete looks better, vul looks worse from my eyes as vul’s reaction was odd, and arete’s felt genuine
My methodology was to make it something that isn’t obviously a reactiontest(aka as beleivable as a scumslip as possible) but still a statement that only belongs in scumchat. I also had to find 7 words to use commas(or a lack of) without it being too unnatural.
I always soft my tests.
I just didn’t do the classic “putting r in front of word with t” as that has become common for me and easy to pick up.
I felt like I was pretty much mindmelding with Vul, why did you see our reactions as different?
