I see. I retract my statement before about that post.
But he’s not being scumread for being a neutral, he’s being killed for being a neutral.
His intent can change at any moment which is why you can’t rely on leans with neutrals.
Even if we end up believing he’ll side with Town we actually have no utility to tell us he hasn’t sided with scum.
AND in the event he does choose Town he can just get the Throne to change to Cowardly and scumside

So, in summary… Derps should be killed because

  • He has the potential to choose a scum wincondition.
  • He has the potential to choose a survive wincondition and scumside.
  • He has the potential to choose a town wincondition and scumside (lol).
  • He is potentially lying.
  • He’s literally the best scum kingmaker on the board even if he chooses a town wincondition.

It’s not “whatever,” spending a lynch on a neut means we’re not spending it on actual scum, whereas depending on the TK spending a TK on a neut may or may not really be wasting their action

Especially since it’s easy to shade neutrals as wolf and make it seem natural. They are not aligned with you and you are not TMIng a villager while doing it.
