I absolutely think mechanics impacted your win

but you have a mechanic that directly counters ā€˜some town are OP,ā€™ because most OP town are also OP scum (it gets somewhat more complicated with investigatives)

and given the massclaiming we did you had a lot of good options

We were hoping Gorta was one of Aliceā€™s targets and thatā€™s why we killed Possessed. They werenā€™t.
Killing Wazza was clearly optimal since he was a healer.

While i agree that killing Wazza was a good decision - I disagree with the reasoning.

You have two strongman kills that can go through heals (3 if you count 2f1)
Once Assa is promoted to MM, you get two more

in hindsight your play was wrong
but at the time your logic made sense and it was close to being a very very +EV play
