I understand what you are saying. Warlock shouldn’t be trusted. But do you really just think it’s a coincidence that Warlock knew my claim before I claimed it. And then they redirected me

Yeah then it doesn’t contradict that since you attempted to visit the warlock and it only works who visit the Warlock and finds out what kind of ability that visitor used.
