The ball has a bunch of letters carved into it.

It is kinda scratched…
How could a small ball the size of a ping pong ball be a bomb… oh, yeah, magic.
But it doesn’t look like anything else other than a solid, steel ball.

Both of you head in… There are 3 doors…
Satisfied it’s safe to touch, Arthur-Oliver picked it up and brushed his hand at the scratches, as if vainly trying to make the word easier to read. Even so, he was fairly certain he could decipher it with a proper look.
“I hope you know where we’re going…omi, was it?”
He stood up straight, not being quite able to match the height of the other male beside him. Speaking of the devil, Akio considered asking him questions especially about his uh, occupation but he’s not quite sure he’s comfortable being that blunt. He takes a moment to look around the area the two of them stand, staring in awe at how…fancy and beautiful it was. He faces forward.
“These doors. What are they? Do you know? I’m going to follow you, friend.”
“What’s that?” Taisto asked, watching curiously as Arthur-Oliver picked up what looked to be a small metal ball. There didn’t seem to be much else of note in the room.
“Someone’s property,” Arthur-Oliver guessed. “There’s a name or brand on it.” He dusted it off, and held it up to offer to Taisto. “You want a look at it?”
Daigo stares confused at Yulan. “Wait… what do you mean? There was a -” Daigo cuts himself off. The last thing he needs is his closest friend thinking he’s gone and lost his marbles. He quickly changes from his hospital gown into his clothes sets as he prepares to set off from the hospital. “I’ve gotta go see something for myself. You coming?”
“You’re gonna get yourself in trouble again aren’t you? Someone has to go through the proper channels so his friend can go and enjoy life to its fullest, huh, fucking A?”
Yulan holds up papers of hospital discharge, all promptly signed and ready to go.
“What will you do without me? Seriously.” He smirks. “Can’t let a hopeless A alone. You’re not going to drive with that injury of yours, are you?”
“No, you take the wheel. Let’s head to that broken down apartment building where they found me.” Daigo grabs his jacket and sets off from the Hospital with Yulan. He gazes at the tree where he saw the figure for a moment as he passes it. “Can’t be seeing things now, need to focus.” he thinks to himself as he and Yulan depart from the hospital.
There’s definitely writing on it, but it’s too scratched to read properly. Taisto frowns, taking the ball to examine it. He rolls it between his fingers to see if there’s anything else on it, but only that one word - whatever it is - is there.
Kumo from her light sleep feeling the stroking of her hair in her groggy state.
“Thanks, always nice to be appreciated.”
As Kumo goes to rest her head again before she pauses for a moment while her body starts to shiver she starts feeling goosebumps.
As Kumo weakly asks “Ah… who’s there?”
As she lays there thinking if she should look of not she forces herself to open them to see the lower part of the Monochrome body and simular clothing to herself leading her to be confused. As she slowly turns her head to look up she see’s the red eyes of the creature before her her jaw drops unsure how to process this situation infront of her unsure if to run, scream or, both.
(Think that’s how i should react to that)
The monochrome doppelganger of her stopped stroking her head and whispered softly into her ear.
“Sweet Dreams…”
And just like that, it fades into nothingness… perhaps. It’s no longer there anymore.
And where it once was, is a hotel card. A brand new one, seemingly untouched, falls onto the ground. The clack of the card onto the marble floor permeates through the silence of the house.
Kumo layed there for what felt like forever stareing towards where that thing was in disbelief as she slowly sits up on the couch. Looking down to the floor and the there now hotel card now laying on the cold floor silently leading forward and picking it up.
“Hotel? What even is this.” Kamo mumbles as she starts examining it over looking for any identification on it. As she does she occansional looks around giving a paranoid look over her shoulder.
Daigo and Yulan arrive at the decrepit apartment building not long after sundown. The pair walked in the front doors and Daigo began to head up the stairs. “This way, this is where I saw it. There’s gotta be some trace of it left if what I saw is real.” Daigo was moreso thinking out loud than talking to Yulan, but Yulan was probably used to that after all these years.
As they reached the top floor, Daigo stepped up to the door and froze, hand on the door knob. Either he was going to find the gruesome scene again - or worse, no sign of it at all. Was he going crazy? Nah. Couldn’t be, he assured himself. With a deep breath he turned the knob and cast open the door.
“Well guess we’re even place, putting looks above all functionality. 1-1.” They sigh, tempted to explore but not wanting to leave them to whom ever may find them. They are their best lead, and trying to settle for someone or something else is an error.
Oddly enough. The fatigue from a night’s worth of work is… gone. GONE. What exactly happened?
And yet, there is an address on the hotel card. There is no other numbers to take note of, not even a phone number.
The room brightens up, the windows letting the light in. It wasn’t this bright a moment ago, but it should have been.
“Well… this business is honestly fucking with my head, but I guess this ain’t par for the course… But really? This rooftop again?” Yulan whines, shaking his head as they made their way up to the top floor. “Old buildings like these give me the creeps.” He adds.
What Yulan and Daigo see, however, is something… no someone familiar.
“What the fuck?”
Honoka, Daigo’s dead wife was standing in front of them, with a young girl that resembled her behind her. Except, she was akin to the shadow they saw at the hospital…
Whilst the girl is not. The mysterious girl eyes Daigo, before letting off a smile that did not befit her supposed appearance and age. She looked to be aged 14, 15 at the very most.
Her giggles echoed through the rooftop as wind suddenly blew in a cyclone around the girl, and then the two figures were gone. Just, gone. Ehehe.
Yulan had his gun out, pointing at a Yulan doppelganger.
“We’re in a fucking movie now”
“Well surely these doors lead us somewhere right?” Omi said enthusiastically as he opens the second door
“…” Daigo stares in silence, looking at the place where the figure of his wife was standing. After a minute or so of staring in silence, he snaps back to reality. “So, i’m not crazy? You saw them too? What the hell is happening Yulan?”
Daigo walks up to where the figures were standing, the same place he had seen the corpse of the boy earlier. He looks around for any signs of the cadaver he had previously seen.
“Well yeah, they’re doors. I’d be a little angry if we opened a door to find nothing but like. A brick wall.”
He peeked over Omi’s shoulder, looking at the open second door and seeing what’s inside.
As she sits there stareing at the card now in her hand rereading the same address over and over.
“What’s even going on anymore maybe… Someone at the hotel will know better.”
Kumo slowly rises to her feet and takes a step forward before looking around the room once more. Slowly moveing towards her the door cautiously and grabbed her coat.
“Maybe I should check this place out after all it’s day time so it’s not like anything bad could happen. right… right”
Kumo grabbed her jacket as she headed for her door and grabbed the handle.
