Shadows - [Main Thread]

“Like hell would I know!?” As the gun clicks, due to him having put no bullets in it…
“What the hell? I swear I put bullets in this buddy of mine, damn it.”

Yulan punches through Yulan’s shadow, though the shadow phases through the attack, as if it wasn’t real. The shadow disappears, as if it were never there.

“We’ll see each other soon. Ehehe… Ehehehe…”
The laughter of the girl echoes through the rooftops.

"Fucking paranormal bullshit, don’t you fucking run!" Yulan shouts at the air, but obviously, that was directed to no one Daigo can see.

She gets out… and a bright light envelopes her…

She sees nothing but a foreign staircase as the door closes behind her.
The place looked abandoned, dark and gloomy. The walls were cracking and its paint was peeling off the walls. There didn’t seem to be anything else…

And if Kumo were to attempt to open the door that she came from, she would not see where the door was… It’s completely missing.

And there she hears a man shouting with fervour…

"Fucking paranormal bullshit, don’t you fucking run!"

It seems to come from the above floor…

Oh hell yeah here’s a brick wall! You can feel the elf from before pointing their middle finger and screaming “amogus” at you.

Well, beyond the door is a hallway that seems to lead to an open space in the distance… but there is something.

The both of you see a young lady who’s walking towards the door, from said open space. She seems dishevelled, with a strong scent of blood coming off of her. With a look, Akio recognises this person. It’s the station staff that was asking about him a while back. But the eye colour, wasn’t it dark grey? When did they become a sharp crimson? It doesn’t seem that she’s a doppelganger either.

Danger Sensations immediately fill up for Omi, but not for Akio.

To Omi: Something is definitely off about the woman. Blood? And person? Hell no.

To Akio: Even if she is hostile, she poses no threat.

Suddenly, a presence fills the air. Koral turns around, and sees a short haired version of themselves looking at them. Black and white, almost as if they were photocopied off of theirs truly.

Its hands wield a sword, and it charges at Koral with frightening speed, knocking Koral into the wall.

“Protect. Protect.” It says as it readies itself for a second attack. The shadow’s eyes are focused, unlike the typical doppelganger… but for Koral, this was the first shadow she’s seen…

Daigo stands in shock for a moment as the figures vanish. After a few seconds, he breaks the silence. “Put that thing away before you accidentally shoot yourself in the foot again.” Daigo sighs and pulls out a cigarette, lighting it with a match from his matchbook. After another brief moment of silence he mutters quietly to himself. “What the hell is going on…?”

Foe, 100% Foe
They quickly recover, adrenaline kicking in and drawing their pistol, waiting for the shadow’s next move to appropriately react, staring it down, trying to mask any emotion their face could project.

“Well it would have been too easy to just deal with cultists”

“Waaaaah!” The shadow charges at Koral, making a sound that they as a kid did, sword poised to strike with a flurry of blows.

Even if it was a doppelganger, it isn’t them. It seemed to be rather simple in attacking, but each blow would be quick and precise, so Koral had best dodge carefully.

Koral fires off two shots quickly towards the shadow, not caring about the noise it’ll make, nor where exactly the rounds may land.

Host Note: The 2 gunshots will be heard by people at a later time of their RP.

The bullets hit the shadow in the arm and leg. It staggers, before it looks at Koral, with its dead, red eyes. As it fades away into a bright light, it mouths the following words…

“Protect… Protect…”

“Hello miss. I think I’ve met you before. Have I?”

He worryingly talked normal, despite the circumstances. He noticed the change in eye color.

“Are you doing alright? Ah… you’ve got those weird eyes…”

They sigh and holster their gun. Disturbing and annoying, two shots mean people will come running. They sling the beast girl over their shoulder before exiting the ???, softly singing a song from their childhood, slightly perturbed by what they had just done.

Kumo covers her eyes from the white light as she looks over this new area and backs up feeling behind her. As her hand reaches back to where a door would be and feels a wall instead a door.

Kumo lowered her head in a sigh “Whats even going in here it doesn’t even make any sense.”

Kumo glances up the stairs she heard people at.

“Maybe someone is there that can explain some of this.”

As she trys to slowly and quietly walk up the stairs.

“Uhh hold up you know this guy?” Omi says, getting ready to flee at the first sign of danger

“She was very nice to me at the train station. Helped me feel better.*

Akio nodded, smiling warmly, seemingly carefree.

The woman looks up, eyes meeting Akio’s and Omi’s. Her eyes widen and dilate, and she immediately turns away, holding her growling stomach.

“Ah… It’s you… please… st-”
Upon closer inspection, she had blood dripping from her mouth, and her short brown hair slowly turning white…

Her knees buckle and her elbows slam onto the ground. She coughs out blood, making a not so artistic blood splatter on the ground. “Aah…”

He definitely freaked out a bit, trying to rush down and aid her.

“H-Hey! What happened?! What’s happening?”

He waited nervously for an answer, confused at whatever was wrong with the lady.

“Let’s take this with us,” Taisto says as he slips the metal ball into his pocket. "We should check the other rooms. Whoever - or whatever - was here, is gone, but we should get a move on in case they come back.

He motions for Arthur-Oliver to follow as he returns to the hall with the numerous doors.

Omi leaps backwards

“What the hell I thought you knew this lady” as Omi looks over to Akio… as he looks to see that Akio is just as confused.

Without hesitation, Omi instinctively slams the door shut.

“Well… let’s pretend we never saw that at all…”

“W-“

“What the heck! Do you usually run away from people dying in front of you like that?!”

“Hey I mean she splat out literal blood at us. You can’t blame me…

Who was she anyways”

Omi says in retaliation

“I said who she was, but you apparently weren’t listening.”

He rolled his eyes.

“Where even are we now?”
