it’s seemingly not me
but i live in hope
I already know who another one of them is.
i would expect at least a message to let me know why exactly i’m a garbage reviewer
i would too if i were you mate
the clandestinity of this process is baffling, frankly
but yeah, if you haven’t been contacted, it’s absolutely dat, marshal, and arete, no question
Asking for “why was I rejected” sounds like a bad idea in general, it normally just creates grudge and bad feelings
it’s not asking why he was rejected
it’s asking why this process has been so absurdly clandestine
There’s a big difference between asking why you were rejected and asking why you never got to be notified that you were rejected
I am sure the reviewers try to pick the best fitting applicants. Being rejected does not mean you would be a bad player or host.
And don’t forget, being reviewer is mostly hard unthankful work
i agree with all of this
But that doesn’t change the fact that rejectees absolutely should have had the right to have been informed that they had been rejected
Maybe it would be good to stop the speculations and wait for the process to be actually finished.
The only reason people even know now that they were rejected at all was because information was leaked to me that might put the status of one of the new reviewers in jeporady
Which is quite strange
the process is already finished
the reviewers have already all been selected according to datbird
i am quite disappointed in the way this result was handled
but eh, hopefully mod reasoning will be provided in due time.
the people have the right to be informed of the status of things
the rejectees most of all
in any case, congrats @Arete @Marshal @DatBird
i hope arete or marshal will agree to review insurgency since it’s been in the queue since november and no other reviewer has ever had time
this post,
arete’s liking of this post,
and datbird himself verbatim in our designcord, as good as modconfirms the three. So yeah
again im sorry if i pissed you off by doing this @DatBird
but ultimately, the people have the right to know, and that is just more important to me
