Small_Tank has exploded. They were

Yeh it’s inherently gonna get ppl heated, I think the mod team has gotta have the balls to punish people for it cuz it’s hard to tell ur friends that they’re being jackasses and it’s not a fun job

figure out if it was a joke

my autism would like to have a word with you

I think mod system and how it works should also be more public/be told

and possibly changed slightly

Like, I feel like their should be more of a structure to the mod system and also at least some form/way of getting new mods when needed should be implimented

I luv all the mods but I’m in favor of ruthless authoritarian punishment with no mercy and unfortunately all of these ‘nice people’ aren’t ruthless authoritarians

maybe this is a “don’t shit where you eat” situation

so it’s hard for the mods to be objective when it’s people you know well

I won’t get into too much detail because I’m not gonna post this to a drama channel or whatever so I don’t really see the point

I think we need a more middle ground than that but yes

it’s like that one thing where IRL judges did worse than an AI judge on predicting if somebody would commit crime out on bail

Can we have like a gladiator pit or something where offenders fight to the death

fwiw i agree that establishing boundaries is important

i think that’s a two-way thing, people both need to be respectful of boundaries other people set as well as being clear about the boundaries that people set

because a lot of the time this sort of stuff doesn’t actually have any malicious intent behind it, it’s just a difference in seeing whether certain things are okay or not

obviously i dont know the context behind this specific situation so i can’t say whether it applies here but in certain ones ive seen it definitely has

I’m guessing the reason mods don’t punish is not wanting to harshly punish first time offenders/unintentional bias

this is my take

This is subjective. :no_mouth:

Easy fix: establish a set punishment system that is adhered to unless something is like

extra bad

maybe we should just

get more mods

someone pay XBlade to make more mods

Can I just pay xblade to make me a mod

that’s not really possible

what is toxic and what is just trash talk

or maybe we should get better mods/give the current mods some form of “training” or smth

I more so mean have punishments set for certain offences that get worse each repeat offense

often it’s just a “I know it when I see it” situation and those situations aren’t really conducive to making rules

I’d love being a mod if I wasn’t a low-key right wing incel edgelord for most of 2019 and know there’s no shot that ppl would be allowed to read those posts with a mod color on them lul
