Pitch your Noble to me. I need a basis for the reasoning behind that one before Iā€™m willing to start looking at it.

Itā€™s @NuclearBurritoā€™s idea, youā€™d have to ask him.

Also Aristocratā€™s 1-trial ability essentially instantly confirms them as evil and is probably rarely if ever actually useful.

The idea is that if the noble is going to be focused around pure vote manipulation then he needs to solve 2 problems first:

1: How do you make an Apostle work without making the Noble far to easy to confirm in cult games without also making the other Social classes confirmable (All social classes have this. Itā€™s just excessive on the noble if you give him too meany ways to confirm. )

2: How do you have vote manipulation useful and fun in the early-mid game?

First of all the day abilityā€™s

Political pressure is the standard Force accusation he already has.

Noble Twin was changed to make it very hard to use on purpose. His passive however means he would know when he can use it anyways.

Next his night abilityā€™s

When vote for class starts you can use Overtime to give more room for failure. Late game this can also be used to effectively extend the clock for a similar purpose.

Bounty however is a bit more involved. Unlike with cold steel or similar abilityā€™s you are not trying to predict who is actually scum, but rather who LOOKS like scum. The difference is that unlike Knight where if you would attack someone people would just lynch them anyways so no point. Here that IS the point, and since extra trials are useful at all phases of the game it is very impactful to use correctly thus solving problem 2.

Now lets look at problem 1.

Any of his abilityā€™s can be tested so 1 by 1:

Political pressure - It is on the Apostle too, non-issue.

Noble Twin - Coordinating everyone to vote in specific ways is really hard. And a cultist could just guilty anyway to cause a misslynch.

Bounty - The only way to trigger this is with a misslynch. That again means that you are taking someone down with you.

Overtime - Remember how you check this one? You would need to have 2 trials and pardon both of them. If he is an Apostle there will be no 3rd trial you can use to lynch him. Same for an Aristocrat using Cease and desist, no 2nd trial with which to actually kill him.

Nuclearā€™s Noble beat this one due to the debate on being able to fake-claim for more classes.

Aristocrat is Identical.

Order isnā€™t very useful for BD. How does it help you to take out another probably BD vote?

And giving someone an extra vote doesnā€™t help in most cases because most lynches are done by the majority.

This is heavily nerfed from the first suggestion

Still has the same problem as the original I think.

Besides, it would be more interesting to give the dead other ways to interact instead of just one method.

I donā€™t know, because then it wouldnā€™t make sense for the Apostles to have Dark Whispers, just is thematically and more organized as a Social class

You could also just make it a Special class. And than make special convert into Apostle. Maybe thatā€™s weird though.

Or we could make Ritualist have Dark whispers.

Letā€™s just keep Priest and Apostle as Social xD
