Social Reworks:

Psychic (Unique Blue Dragon Social) :shield:

Passive: Astral Network: You may speak to anyone you have linked with anonymously at night. They can also talk to each other. Anyone in jail cannot hear or speak using the chat. This passive will remain if your class changes.

Day Ability: Focus Link: Reset the cool down for Alter Link. 2 uses.

Day Ability: Telepathy: Send an anonymous message to everyone. 2 uses.

Night Ability: Alter Link: Target player is immediately added to the astral network. If they are already in the astral network they are immediately removed. The network cannot have more than 4 other players at once. Unlimited uses. 1 day cool down.

Illusionist (Unique Unseen Social) :shield:

Passive: Astral Network: You may speak to anyone you have linked with anonymously at night. They can also talk to each other. Anyone in jail cannot hear or speak using the chat. This passive will remain if your class changes.

Passive: Skilled: You can use both night abilities in the same night.

Day Ability: Focus Link: Reset the cool down for Alter Link. 2 uses.

Day Ability: Telepathy: Send an anonymous message to everyone. 2 uses.

Night Ability: Alter Link: Target player is immediately added to the astral network. If they are already in the astral network they are immediately removed. The network cannot have more than 4 other players at once. Unlimited uses… 1 day cool down.

Night Ability: Mind warp - Target player receives incorrect feedback tonight . Unlimited uses.

Priest (Unique Blue Dragon Social) :shield:

Passive: Call of the Dead: Speak to the dead at night.

Passive: Devout: You cannot die until someone else dies.

Night Ability 1: Channel: Use the primary power of someone who has died. You may only use each person once, and you may not utilize a Killer or Special class. Unlimited uses.

Night Ability 2: Awaken: Turn all dead Blue Dragon into awakened souls. 1 use.

Soulcatcher (Unique Unseen Social) :shield:

Passive: Call the Darkness: Dead Unseen may speak to the Unseen while this is alive.

Night Ability 1: Channel: Use the primary power of someone who has died. You may only use each person once, and you may not utilize a Killer or Special class. Unlimited uses.

Scribe (Blue Dragon Social)

Passive: Espionage - If a hidden negative effect is applied to you then you will know.

Passive: Trained: You may use both of your day abilities any number of times per day.

Day Ability: Private matters - Whispers to and from you are hidden while Private Matter is active. Unlimited uses, toggle able.

Day Ability: Royal Documents: You will hear the next four whispers to and from the King. 2 uses.

Night Ability 1: Eavesdrop - Hear whispers to and from Target player until you choose another player. Does not count as a visit. Unlimited uses.

Forger (Unseen Social)

Passive 1: Royal Blood: You can step up to be king

Day Ability 1: Political Pressure: Force one person to accuse another and prevent further voting. (2 uses)

Day Ability 2: Noble Twin: If there is a tie on trial the person is executed. (2 uses)

Night Ability 1: Bounty - If target player is executed tomorrow and is Blue Dragon then there will be an additional trial and execution. Cannot target King. Unlimited uses.

Night Ability 2: Overtime - There can be up to 3 trials tomorrow. 1 use.

Aristocrat (Unseen Social)

Passive: Bureaucracy - You can see vote contents in real time exept when you are on trial.

Passive 1: Royal Blood - You can step up to be king

Day Ability 1: Political Pressure - Force one person to accuse another and prevent further voting. 2 uses.

Day Ability 2: Noble Twin- If there is a tie on trial the person is executed. 2 uses.

Night Ability 1: Bounty - If target player is executed tomorrow and is Blue Dragon then there will be an additional trial and execution. Cannot target King. Unlimited uses.

Night Ability 2: Cease and desist - There can be only 1 trial tomorrow. 1 use.

Apostle (Cult Social)

Passive: Call the Darkness: The Cult may speak to their dead while you live.

Day Ability: Mind Control - Force one person to accuse another and prevent further voting. 2 uses.

Day Ability: Telepathy: Telepathy: Send an anonymous message to everyone. 2 uses.

Night Ability: Read Mind: See all whispers to and from your target the next day. 3 uses.

Night Ability 2: Hypnotize - Target player will receive incorrect feedback. 2 uses.

Awakened Soul (Blue Dragon Special)

Passive: Undead: You appear dead to all other players, and cannot talk to living players or vote. You will not appear in the court during the day.

Night Ability: Death’s Judgement: Vote to kill a player. If a majority of Awakened Souls vote to kill them as well, they will die, bypassing all forms of immunity. If there is a tie or no majority is reached, nothing will happen. All Awakened Souls will revert to their original class.

This feels like a really good rework, especially since speaking to the dead is still in the game. More on the Priest later, but I’m a fan of this new Psychic - they are the liaison between trusted BD, but since all BD can be converted (mostly), it’s not a “confirmed” network per se. Also, this is a potentially valid solution to the Social issue in live right now.

Put it to 1 use, otherwise you just use this two nights in a row and immediately get a 4 person network. Same for Illusionist.

Unnecessary - Someone gets unlucky and dies n1, Priest should be as susceptible to this as anyone else.

I’m very wary of this kind of “basket” ability, but this isn’t as op as, say, “You become the class of a dead person.” I’d be willing to try this, it’s restrained enough to possibly work.

This is interesting but this is such a big shift from the death knight that I’m cautious. But I’d be willing to try it for a patch.

Yes, we need this sort of ability for Evils.

Unnecessary imo, the rest of the class abilities is dynamic enough.

Forger should be able to rewrite logs.

I love your noble, psychic and priest. Can you explain the mechanic of awakened soul please? I don’t quite understand it.

The social classes were obviously very unclear from what their actual roles were, so its great to clearly define their roles like this.

My only problem is that the scribe is very weak. Seeing whispers isn’t enough to carry an entire class, and although the passive is interesting, it definitely needs to another element to keep it on tier with other BD. Especially as unseen don’t even whisper that much in the day as they have a night chat.

Awakened Soul works like this:

3 BD are Dead. Priest uses Awaken. All 3 become Awakened Souls.

During the night, they can vote who to kill. Basically the get to lynch someone. If it is a tie or their is no majority, nothing happens.

Once they kill someone they all revert back to their original classes(still Dead though)

Ah I see. On the priest card it says “turn all Blue dragon” not “turn all DEAD blue dragon” which confused me.

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but why does this have a cooldown? Illusionist’s skilled passive allows them to use mind warp in the same night without being suspicious. Also, change this so it only adds a player, and change focus link so it removes a player. Also give the new focus link unlimited uses.

Why does this have so many restrictions? Only one restriction would be fine, both aren’t needed.

If you can use Killer or Special, as Unseen you can get extra kills and conversions.

As BD, it could be used to game throw

If each corpse could be used over and over again, Priest would have every dead person’s power. It would be too OP.

Then change it so that priest can use killer or special but not more than once, and soulcatcher can use them multiple times but not killer or special.

Gamethrowing should not be used as a reason to not add something. A lot of abilities can be used to gamethrow.

It’s a precaution. If nobody uses it, why even allow it at all?

NOPE. Then it just has an OP ability pool. It can already use all sorts of abilities, but I don’t want it to become just every class that’s ever died. It should use its dead people carefully.

I think Awaken should get 2 uses by the way, it makes dead interactions more fun, and there’ll still be less kills total than one DK gets currently (3)

You know what? At first I was very cautious about this since it’s a big departure from the DK (a class I love), but I actually think this is a big improvement. Awakened Souls incentivize all BD to stay in the game after death in a more dynamic way than the DK.

In general, upon reflection, I think these suggestions for Social classes are very good.

It’s not for the illusionist. It’s for the Apostle. He cannot alter the link at all and if he could then that would beg the question of what it would do if he was converted from Noble/Scribe/Priest.

The cooldown makes it take longer though.

Then potentially up to 4 people could be altering the astral network at once, which clearly would cause a lot of problems in my opinion.

well other apostles who arent the psy would only hurt themselves with it

I mean, it would just get so unbalanced that it wouldn’t be the best idea to have 4 people in constant charge of the network
