Sorc/Inq rework

I know you can. I have killed the MM as inquis before.

Gonna beat the dead horse here and just say you can’t. Ruthless Efficiency does not work on a target, even if they got magic dusted. They have to actually be a magic user. The only way that MM died was if bleeding from Hunter or Prince executed. Ruthless Efficiency just doesn’t work against non magic users.

hmm the MM can be a magic user if they originally were one.

This was the starting MM. I did confirm later that the sorc used Magic dust that night. This isn’t the only time something like that happened.

aren’t we kind of beating a moot point here though… least in the concept, we are looking to get rid of magic dust… prefferably with glamor. Making the sorc more vulnerable to Inquisitor, less vulnerable to BD. Which is the goal I’m shooting for. I’ve heard it both ways on magic dust/ruthless efficiancy, and haven’t really been in a scenerio to witness it to give a judgement one way or the other. But I’d like the whole dynamic to go away etiher way.

Knight has already been buffed. Balance > Boredom

This is true. You could have killed a Magic User that was defiled that night to appear MM?

Scout is fine, though sheriff should be reworked so it doesn’t only affect the unseen. And there is no Smile ability, I assume you mean something else?

The paladin has an ability called smite.

Oh, didn’t realize it was a typo. And smite is not fine since paladin is a hardcounter to the cult.

He’s a hard counter to an entire faction. That’s like saying that the Mastermind is a hardcounter to BD or that Knight is a hardcounter to all killers.

Mastermind can also affect neutrals though. Knight can affect killers from any faction, and has an ability which doesn’t rely on killers. Sheriff and paladin, however, can only affect the unseen and cult.

Ok fine. Mastermind is a hardcounter to BD and merc. My point is that the sheriff effects enough classes that calling him a hardcounter is meaningless. The sheriff is clearly a soft counter because he effects a group of classes rather than an individual class. The fact that all of those classes happen to have the same faction is irrelevant.
