Passive: Ritual
Dies night 1 and becomes a Revenant

Passive: Dead
The Revenant appears as dead, because they are, the Revenant cannot directly be targeted by any day or night abilities, because they are dead, the Revenant cannot vote HOWEVER while the Revenant still exists the game will not end

Passive: Chilling Aura
While you exist, every player shall know that you do “The haunting presence of a Revenant fills the castle”

Day Ability 1: Soul Bind
Bind your soul to a living player for the following night and the day after(if this is not used, the same target from before is picked, if there was no target before, it is random - Infinite Uses

Passive: Wailings
You may speak to the living during the day under the name “Revenant”, however you also talk to the dead(not the priest)

Night Ability 1: Haunt
Haunt a player, giving them a heart attack and killing them, if they are immune a second haunt will kill them - Infinite Uses

Passive: Bound
If the target of “Bind Soul” is killed in any way while your souls are bound, you will cease to be(AKA Die)

Objective: Kill everyone who’s objective is not to survive (Reaper + Possessor wincon)

Notes: Convert immune and Unique, Revenant cannot exist at the start of the game because it has to die or something
Observer/Nightwatch can see the Revenant visit the bound player if they window peek the bound player
Reaper receives 2 souls from reaping the bound player
Spiritualist only exists because a Revenant dying and then still existing is kinda wiers

I would make paladins being able to cleanse them out of people when revenants soul binds to peoples bodies at night as a way to save the person they control from being executed and killing off the revenant in the process. or maybe if unlucky the Spiritualist could be converted/killed off night 1 before they used here passive ability to become a revenant so there passive ability to become one does not trigger.

  1. It becomes a Revenant Night 1, it just does, that happens
  2. If Paladin gains that ability it just makes Revenant unnecessarily more powerful in BR games where there can’t be a Paladin

well i would assume a revenant would always be present if at least 1 paladin was to make it fair. kinda like how ToS does with vampire and vampire hunter unless the settings were custom that is for roles.

No because Paladin spawns with Cult and not BR
Unless you want it to spawn just to hunt down one specific class in which case no thanks

Does the host know that the Revenant is inside them?

If so, there should be a second day ability to control their words like a buffed troll box.

Basically shutting them up and talking as them. Like this:

Day ability 2: Upon use, your target will know they have been inhabited, but they cannot communicate, and you speak using their mouth

That’s a nice idea, but the problem is that you can only use 1 day ability, and that would mean you couldn’t change the host if you wanted to

This role is amazing

@í42-Xblade please add to ToL, it’s SUPER fun and doesn’t seem to be particularly imbalanced (Reaper is better, anyways)

Yeah, sounds great, but I think it should have two bound players, and you can’t get new binds.
