Too many characters with too little development
And by that I mean I will put the burden of proof on you to prove that the entire casino escapade was anything but pointless bullshit, that Rose and especially saving Finn were in any way positive additions, that Rey was not continuing to be a Mary Sue, that the new force ghost powers weren’t universe-breaking, that Holdo and Poe weren’t obviously playing out a script instead of acting as real people, and that Leia saving herself wasn’t just dumb.
This is all completely ignoring Luke.

Failure as a theme was never explored beyond having a bunch of characters failing (surface level)
Creates unsatisfying moments and makes liking the characters I should like hard because they act like assholes or idiots

Not to mention completely retconning hyperspace.
Why build massive capital ships if someone can just hyperspace a ship thru it to destroy it?
Okay but you do realize there would have been ships expressly for that purpose that were cheaper and better at it? That would straight-up be the main weapon people use lol
