Better than before, but I feel Fright’s suggestion (posted by Noz) is still better.
okay, I will try one last attempt to explain why it is not:
-in most cases, anything that hurts unseen helps blue dragon
-in most cases, anything that hurts blue dragon helps unseen.
thus, if both factions are hurt, than both factions are also helped because the other faction was hurt.
I can understand saying that the faction only gets hurt though if at least one of the people who voted to execute was a member of that faction.
ex. no unseen members vote to kill execute fool, only blue dragon does, so only blue dragon gets the bad effect.
This will only dissuade lynching even more.
I agree that the Fool is too much on the side of the bad faction right now.
However, I don’t like the idea here… it should affect factions:
If the Fool is lynched, then the members of the Faction that had more or equal numbers to all others will be occupied next night and day, regardless of occupy immunity, and there will be no lynch the next day. If there was no such faction, then this affects everyone except neutrals.
Fool is fine as it is
It’s supposed to punish the BD and it does that well
Yep, two or three fools in forum games here manage to get lynched.
Don’t you mean all
My problem is not that it is hard to get lynched as fool (it isn’t)
It is that unseen/cult want the fool to be executed.
There’s nothing wrong with that.
agreed, but if no competition is provided for the fanax post, then we might get that implemented.
And that would be terrible, wouldn’t it?
Considering that Boslof and Xblade get a final say in suggestions… nothing is confirmed.
Also, just because one post is, as you say, “terrible” doesn’t mean another post is going to get implemented.
But there is literally nothing wrong with Fool so we do not need to change it. Boslof already told me this himself.
If Fool punishes the Unseen/Cult in any way then BD will use executing fools as a strategy meaning the Fool ends up taking no skill
See: Jester from ToS
ToS has reached a state where it’s a legitimate Town Strategy to give free wins to Jesters and just hope they hit scum
ToL doesn’t need that and shouldn’t have it
Even Unseen/Cult team has disadvantages for fool being lynched.
I think this is good because all exe voters are punished in a similar way to the current system
Nope.
Fool does not need ‘fixing’ if it’s not broken.
It’s good for Unseen and Cult team because it stops BD from lynching anybody and restore their strength.
The bad thing is they cannot gain new members once limit cap is hit and BD will able to use their night abilities to find scum without getting killed or converted if none of scum died.
So in reality, lynching the fool has both advantages and disadvantages equally on scale.
P.S I am not including the neutral killer into this.
scum can just kill them
Because that’s a stupid attempt to balance a game by punishing correct plays in the hope that people don’t play correctly
Why would you kill a neutral over a BD
