[talk] airlock II / botf V discussion

there is no randomness in botf / clocktower apart from who receives which role – everything is host decided

yes

roles with asterisk means they can act any night except for the first night

this role turns into the first dead townsfolk that does stuff besides receiving info at the start, if they are still alive then

no, to get info they may target any player that is already dead

voted for execution

no. that refers to the maximum number of votes they can use across the entire game, if they exceed that with 4 or more players still alive, i might execute them

No. they get converted into a lost wolf as they die

Poisoned, Drunk, and Malfunction all refer to the same thing:

For abilities that don’t cause the host to give you information: Occupation
For abilities that do cause the host to give you information: Semi-framing; usually bad info but never has to be, host decides what info you get, goal is more to fool you than to be bad info

If SA is alive in the final two, their team wins
The first time the enchantress targets SA, they remain safe while another player dies instead
this would waste the enchantress’s one-shot conversion to Lost Wolf

Players where everyone knows their character but not their alignment. If they are evil, they know who the demon is. It is much easier to get rid of them via “exile” (normal method for people is “execution”), also, they may join and leave the game mid-game (everyone else must play for the whole game)

…? I thought votes for execution are public?

I am well informed about the limits, but if they can use more than one vote, wouldn’t that mean that they can vote more than once?
–oh wait; across the entire game. …I get it now.
…wow, this is actually the least harmful Outsider.

Is this to fool the Grave–
Wait. I forgot we can still talk post-mortem in BotF. Never mind.

…is there a limit as to how many Travelers there can be, aside from 5 (i.e. the number of all Traveler roles)?

why is the deviant on this list

The astrologist selects characters, not players
They learn if any of the characters they picked voted

Ah… I see.

the creator of the script wants you to return to gimmick the game as deviant once again

Usually no, but so travelers can’t strongarm the game again like they did in BotF IV, i am implementing a special rule; no more than 22% of the players can be travelers
