to be fair I have actually done that as a villager and was right. In soda mafia I was like “Duck is lying about his red check, but he’s also town why is he still pushing it”

It turns out even if you are correct about that, if a villager who you town read was a neutral cop (check to see if a person is a neutral), checks a person and receives a non neutral result, misreads their PM as them having a neutral check, and then fake claims a red, you still have to lynch them the next day phase
