I don’t expect this to be accurate at all, my microreads are low-accuracy no matter who they’re on.

Mhm, yeah. Oscillating around 40-50% here, it’s why I don’t make too many snapreads either, or at least am not attached to them.

Answer key:

Summary

A lot of people switched 5 and 6. I don’t really blame anyone for that, given that they’re nearly identical; I didn’t actually realize that they would be so similar until I checked what my first post in 6 was and realized it was nearly the same as the one I’d just put down. I specifically remember in game 5 that I was playing up my emotions for towncred. tl;dr I know what I’m supposed to feel as town and I can usually fake it if I want to.

In terms of broadly applicable lessons about townplay, I think the biggest one is that context is actually relevant. For instance, the quote from Game 3 is fairly wolfy on its own, but not everyone got it right. In the context of me having just gotten a villager misexe’d by faking a redcheck, it rises to the level of ‘literal lolcatting.’ Conversely, one could reasonably wolfread ‘you should be sure to vote [PLAYER 2],’ but PLAYER 2 was in fact an outed wolf.

6 being corrupt votes is funny because my raesoning for the order was basically the same as alices but “you had no soul to pour into it” makes sense for corrupt votes :joy_cat:

It was early enough in the game for it to be completely feasible for me to believe no one had a hard enough suspicion.

Like, this post feels like “I don’t actually think that but it would be believable if I said I did.” because they could’ve just said something like “I didn’t think anyone had a hard enough suspicion yet”.

Am I overthinking this?

Marshal can you stop tunneling for one second and focus on people that aren’t kats?

entire rest of the thread is just letting this argument happen rather

Anyway.

X feels lacklustre. @X where did you go?

X, I have a redcheck on you.

I definitely don’t like how ok X is with this. Like, if they’re town, they should know that I’m wrong on them, but it doesn’t feel like they do?

Town/Mafnya

I’m too lazy to find more than 5

6 I was resigned to probably getting snapvoted by cloned, I was camping the thread so that if he voted me and Appel had bought hammerer I could snap Appel and hope I posted my vote before she did

he didn’t snapvote me, so he exceeded my expectations?

And guess who X is although that’s probably impossible.

0/5 here I come :sunglasses:

I started preparing an “opening posts” thing from my openers, but then I realized that all of them were:

  • wallposts
    or
  • written in games where i replaced in
    or
  • blatantly polarized to the point you could call my alignment from that post alone 100% of the time
  1. W
  2. V
  3. W
  4. V
  5. V

Body seems unclear, is that a complete sentence?

And by that I mean something like “if my opener lacks a sense of humor, I randed wolf.”

Also, I found a lot of openwolfing. As town.

I knew that one lol

  1. town
  2. town
  3. mafia
  4. town
  5. mafia

yeah, I mean, it was important to me that people not think there was an NK because I was obviously not W/W with like all the dead wolves from both factions

[DEAD VILLAGER]'s incorrect claim was also semi-deliberate on my part, he’d won the ability to ask a question about the setup and I gave him a suggestion for a question to ask about what scum factions there were that was intentionally but subtly phrased in a way that would exclude the existence of a neutral killer

Reminds me of the “I’m not mafia.” answer I was trying to give to the lie detector in CFM2.
