done, darling

Sorry never used encumbrance in dnd so I didnt even think about it when creating my character. It’s odd I cant even use the starting equipment for my class though. Imma have to read up on it after work today. Thanks for the heads up

Read into encumbrance and it said you can carry 15 pounds per point of strength. So 225 pounds since I have 15 strength. Did I really hit that number? Or am I doing it wrong?

Looked into it more you are using variant encumbrance, that explains the 75 pound cap for my encumbrance. If that’s the case I’ll just get rid of leather armor probably since it’s not giving more AC than my own skin

And since that leaves me at 76 pounds I’ll drop, 4 torches and 2 days of rations, bringing me down to 68 pounds

Variant encumbrance? How does that work and why does Merc think that’s a good idea?

It gradually decreases your speed and reflexes based on the weight you carry instead of having an unpassable limit
I always use it because I find it to be more logical and more dramatic on chase scenes

laughs in doubled carrying capacity

From where?

Juggernaut Warforged.

I didn’t see it on your traits

 Did I not put it on? I should have that.

@reaper define your Arcane focus and you are on heavy encumberance
@DatBird Pick the type of your religious symbol

Since you asked why
Basically the usefulness of the encumberance rules is to limit the resources the characters have at hand

Iron Fists

When you make an unarmed strike, you can deal 1d4 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage instead of the normal damage.

Powerful Build

You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

put this on your sheet

Its engraved into my shield, what the symbol is idk

Also found out Loxodons have this. Didnt include it in my sheets since I never use encumbrance lol
