Did this by class associations
If one of you for some reason want to change groups, you have the opportunity to do so until Hja finishes her sheet.

If i chose gear instead of gold rolling, would I be able to sell any of the gear I started with for more gold initially?

Nope because that is some kinda of balance
You get with better value but not a full equipment customization

That is good balance.
In this case I’ll keep my roll because in principle I always prefer to start with some kind of bow as a monk for dire circumstances.

Monks are dodgy but certainly not beefy. While they’re not as effective at range it’s best to have that option if you need it.
