So
Each layer from my island to the bottom of the ocean floor is 837 sand, or a bit over 13 stacks.
There are twenty-two layers that would need to be filled, for a total of 18,414 sand, or just shy of 288 stacks.
This is not as much as you propose (thank goodness, no idea what the hell you’re doing with literally 100,000 sand) but is still an immense amount
We must also factor in my sandstone building, which I reckon took roughly 5 stacks of sandstone, each at 4 stacks of sand, for an additional 1280 sand, bringing my approximate total to 19,300 sand that would have been required had sponges not existed.
This would be 301.5 stacks of sand, filling 11.2 shulker boxes (if I had any lol), 8.4 player inventories, or 5.6 double chests.
@Marshal it should now be clear why I took all the sand you offered me
The chest at spawn has 9 brewing stands in it (the one with the iron gear & potions)
