The Throne... Of Lies... Returns. [Roleplay Thread]

Plunder Organiser… Xed? I could use some business from outlanders…

“Well, tell ya what, you ain’t gonna find any treasure in this place. I’m on my way to the town nearby right now. I’ve been in this forest longer than I can remember. I’ll bring ya to town. Sound good?”

I can even meet the Captain of Xed, see how’s he like.

Cedar gives a slight nod.
“Yeah, I don’t even need to find anything anymore, I’ve got these scrolls right here, so I’ve got nothing to panic about.”

Those scrolls… best not to think about them now, but I don’t like the sound of that.

“Well, follow me.”
She says simply and moves in the direction of the carriage.

She goes North… towards the only town nearby.
That’s a lot of trees… but none really shelter you from the rain.

“Tell me, how’s your land? Prosperous? How’dya live your lives?”

(I guess I called for you then lol)

Walking toward his carriage.

“Yes, there was a suspicious individual near… I believe him to be a member of the foul Green Kraken. He acquired something of suspicious origins in the forest so I was wondering if you could apprehend him for me.”

“There’s nothing too grand from where I am. I mostly live in a ship, but I occasionally stop by Xed, a town in Alnester. That’s where most of me and my people reside when we’re not battling or searching for treasure. There’s all sorts of merchants there, but supply can run short.”

“My father didn’t tell me it would this kind of a job. Could you explain what they did specifically?”

“Ya people seem to be an interesting bunch. Here me and my people live on a day-to-day basis, but those that live near the kingdom walls have it good. Been fighting for survival every day, just to get money on the table.”

They enter the carriage and ride in the direction of the docks.

“A suspicious individual dropped a parcel and the Green Kraken member I was following picked it up and later met a strange woman. We need to make haste, for I worry that it could have information that will lead to the downfall of Adiart.”

“Butler, ride quicker. We need to follow them quickly”

“Ya know, that reminds me of a man who looked like one of those people. He was handing out fliers and shouting about how we’ve been killing innocent lives and taking their jobs. I mean, I know I did shady stuff in the past, but I haven’t killed anyone before… And we’re supposed to be allies.”
He starts to look a bit sorrowful as he goes into deep thought.

“Only dogs will buy that load of empty air. I’ve been in the business long enough to know that Xed people ain’t that bad. All those punks spin up lies because you’re a tad bit rougher than they expected.”

They are reaching the town soon.
(Rain still going?)

“Really? I can understand if they feel intimidated towards the Captain, he can win battles without making a single scratch, he saved me from death when I was a baby, and he knows how to improve the lives of everyone around him more than the King ever could.”
He forms a small grin to himself as he continues walking.

The rainfall begins to slow in pace. It is still raining, but it’s bearable to walk around in for extended periods of time.

“Tsk. Still raining.”

Andar grumbles as he looks out into the rain. He was supposed to deliver a cartload of cheap wine from the dock to Stag Crown Bar, but damn Raul if he’d do that when it’s raining. The least the cheapskate could do was to provide him with a closed carriage. If he let the barrels soaked in rain, Raul would ask for compensation. Again.

“Let’s just kill time, kill time. No use to stress on matters.”

Muttering such words to himself, Andar strolls about in the rain aimlessly, his hood pulled up to protect his face from rain.
