The Throne... Roleplay Thread

“Uhm…” They shivered lightly. Looking at their draconic bodies. No capes on F:“We shouldn’t tell everyone we’re free like this…”

She notes the appearances.
“You here for something? The messenger told me the prince would be here…”

G:“Us?” F:“We’re the future king’s bodyguard!” Hey, they kind of look like grea! G:“I’m not sure you were supposed to say that, flame.”

“Mmm?” She notes interestingly.

Falone walks in, back from his rounds.
“Sorry to keep you waiting,” He says.

The purple haired lady stands up, holding her sheath. “Can we get this over with? Stuff with royals, ain’t too fun.” She goes outside.

Falone sighs and takes his sword, the royal sword, and prepares for a battle.

F:“Huh? Why are you to going to fight?” G:“Do we need to help?” Flame jolted standing, glaring at the newcomer now

He nods, and says, “This is a friendly spar, to test the strength of a mercenary guild. They won the previous mercenary tournament after all, I have to test their strength in person, since I’m not allowed to participate.”

“If you want, you can watch the match.”

G:"…sure. It’ll be interesting to see how you fight." F:“I-I hope you won’t get hurt, then…” G:“Don’t worry about it. the prince can hold his own.”

The purple haired lady is awaiting outside.

“Pardon me, shall we begin?” Falone declares.

“Let’s have a good match!” The Purple Haired lady says.

Flame and Glass Watch on. Flame cheered for the prince quite loudly while Glass focused on Learning the soon-to-be-king moves

You see the two trading blows.

Fight details are obscured due to Falone being a “final boss…”

“That’s the third time, my dear.” Falone says.

“Urgh… You’re good…” Jaze grumbles, holding her ribs around her heart, kneeling down. “It was fun, for a filthy noble.”

Falone grins, and declares. “You are strong enough as the representative of Heliph’s company. You pass.”
She looks up at the prince, shocked.

“But… No! I lost, I disgraced the com…”
“Look up high, this is not about winning. This is for your guild’s survival. I say you passed, and the guild passes. Congratulations.”

The lady looks at the prince, something going through her mind.
“…”

F:“Yaaaaaaaay!” G:"…damn. It’ll be hard." F:“Huh? What do you mean?” G:"…nothing, nothing at all, flame." F:“Come on, don’t you hide stuff from me!” She turned to flame and growled. G:“I said nothing.” F:"…fine."

The lady walks towards the two little girls, still clutching her chest.
“I lost…”
“You know, I shall try again harder! I’ll come for him, and one day, I’ll get him!”

Falone chuckles, thinking of something.
“Sure, you feel guilt now, right?”

“Guilt? Yeah you did! The deal was that I pass a test, and that test happened to be you!”

“Then I have a deal.” Falone grins.

“Gah, you nobles and your deals. Spit it out.” Frustration can be seen on Jaze’s face,

“Teach these two the basics of the sword.”
“Huh?”
“It’s a good deal, don’t you think?”

The two girls can hear all of this.

F:"…" G:“Heh. A personal sword teacher.” F:“Sounds cool! I want to do it!” G:“I’m not against Learning to wave a sharp metal stick around.”

She looks at the two. They seem promising, despite their… appearance.

“Mmm… Well… they look promising… But why should I-”
“That’s a contract, and a total of 1000 gold per year.”
“!!!”

“You… ain’t…”
“There’s a deposit of 500 gold.”

There is a chest of 500 gold tials.
“… You’re… serious…”

Glass and flames looked at each other. G:"…wow." F:“I’m pretty sure you could buy your way to a swordsman twice better than we’ll ever be with that money.” G:“I don’t think that’s what matters right now. He wants us to be the very best we can be.” F:“But…why?” G:"…you’ll get it, eventually."

“Well… I need ta send money home before I can start teaching them. And why don’t cha teach them? You’re clearly a lot better!” She says.

“I will come by occasionally, but the kingdom needs me, I cannot spend my time here.”

“… Fine.”
Falone whispers something into her ear.
“You… what?”

“I’ll leave them with you, Lady Jaze.” The Prince turns to the two. “Listen to this young lady, call for me if she treats you badly.”

The chest of gold reads: Mentor of the Upcoming.

“This… noble… is different.” The purple haired lady mumbles.

Glass quietly stood up. G:“Will do.” She looked up at the purple haired girl. “I don’t think we introduced ourselves. This is flame and I’m glass.” F:“We have fire and ice powers, if that matters for sword training.” Just like Grea… G:“When will we start?”

“Oh! Well, you two have interesting names… Mine’s Reeze! You can call me Jaze instead.” She says, seemingly less gloomy.

“Well, fire and ice… could be interesting. I can teach you the basics, but I can’t t-”
She notices all the books on the shelves.
“Whoa.”

“Well, if I were to guess… Flame uses Fire, and Glass uses Ice, right?”
Her eyes shine with confidence.
“Stipulated on the contract… we start next week. Well, it says… Babysitting…?”
She sighs, “That noble got me… wonder why the prince chose him to fight me…”

(Yes, she’s a dumbass who doesn’t know that that person was the prince. She thought it was a lower noble sent by the prince to do so.)

F:“Babysitting? Really?!” She growled and went to look at the contract. G:“You’d be correct. As for the noble…um…this might be akward…that noble is the prince…”
