The Throne... Roleplay Thread

(Since Cheesy is gone for the night… I’mma have Alex go somewhere else and come back later)
He walks to the Weapons room, searching for a better dagger

From behind the rack of daggers, knives, machetes, and other assorted blades, Jan peeps out her head.

“Well. You look like shit. Seems you’ve had the pleasure of meeting the Cultists on this ship before I did.”

“Name’s Jan. It’s a pleasure.”

Well… Bit hard to say I look terrible with a first meeting. But… You are correct. I have met some cultists on this ship. I’m friends with one actually…
I’m Alexander Crestington, but you can call me Alex or Crest. I’m a Hunter for the Blue Dragon and a Bard for the Green Kraken.
I’ve been searching for the corrupt Unseen as told to by a private investigator.

“Day I call you Crest is the day someone manages to put a hole straight through my damn brain.”

“Alex, can I be frank? I’ve got no fucking clue where I am, or what’s it I’m supposed to be doing here. I’ve been on vacation for a quarter past too long, and all I know is that the Cult seem to outnumber us 5 to 1 every god forsaken shithole Adiart seems to throw me into. Boss called me in to help remedy that situation, and now you’re telling me a whole new group of hooligans has their foot in the door for control of the kingdom. Dandy.”

“Let’s make a deal. Clearly I’m in need of some information, and clearly a Cultist tried to have his way with you at some point in the last hour. You may think you’ve allies here, and I’m sure you think you’re hot shit, but I’ve been one-upping the Cult since you were a shimmer in your parent’s eye. You’re about to tell me whatever, whoever, wherever friend in the Cult you think you have under the promise they’ve got a friend down in hell they care about much more than you and I. Any thoughts you have to the contrary will be met with my blade, and considering your condition, that’s not a fight you’re fixing to have right now. How’s that for a plan?”

May I ask what you are? There are psychics, nobles, reapers and more… But I have never seen someone who acts like you.

You’re on a ship led by the Green Kraken which is sailing to Xed. You’re probably here to defeat the cult or something like that. They do always quickly gain numbers, after all they have the powers of the gods on their side. B…But by the sounds of things, you’re a member of the Unseen anyway? If so… Then, can I just… Leave?

I guess I don’t really have the chance to deny your plan. All I can say is that my friend disappeared in front of my eyes. He does have the cult powers after all, so he could probably have teleported to plot with their gods. I saw a lot of blood in their basement and they cleaned it. So I witnessed their magic before. That’s all I really know for now. If I see him again, I may send him your way if you would like.

You hear a muffled struggle behind the weapons.

What the?
What’s that noise back there?

“How many people are on this goddamn ship?”

Jan diagnoses the source of the noise, and frees the person behind the weapons rack.

The person falls dead.
An Intruder.

Keeping her feet at the edges of the shelf, perilous millimeters from the array of blades, Jan climbs to the top of the shelf and looks around the room.

He looks up, very impressed by Jan’s logical skills
Height advantage, giving you access to more information. Very clever… No wonder why you’re trusted to do something for the Unseen.
(She had already somewhat slipped. Clearly not cult but saying boss, so not BD or GK)

Hessald walks into the room.
“Where is that… Hey, what are you doing here?” @PokemonKidRyan
He notices the lady.

Jan leaps onto Hessald, knocking him over and sending the rack of weapons crashing to the ground.
She stands over him with her blade raised high.

Stocking up on my weapons.
I was showing a friend around the ship. Had her stay in my room before we set off. Should’ve said to you, sorry my friend.
Jan, this is Hessald, a more professional Bard.
Hessald, Jan. She’s got some very good logical thinking so should be useful for the crew. She’s just a bit paranoid, so please forgive her.

Hessald sighs.
“I’m here to pick up a body. Miss, may you kindly get off me?”

Jan, please get off my friend. He’s a good person, don’t worry about him. He’s no cultist, you can be assured of that.

“Well… I have no words. But the execution of this man was necessary.”
He does not seem to be scared.

“There’s clearly an intruder among us, even if it’s not this sorry bloke. Once the 3rd and 4th Bard that happened to kill this man raise their sorry heads, I’ll release suspicion of you.”

Jan hops off the man, and raises to her feet once more. A multitude of various blades still lay scattered across the floor.

“Bard? Killing by poison? This was by the crew. He was an intruder, and tried to smuggle the items we had. This was appropriate judgement.”
