Throne of Love Contest

Love is in the air and nowhere is that truer than inside the halls of Castle Adiart. Knights mount their trusty steeds in the name of courtly love, as they brave the world’s greatest dangers in the name of their beloved. Courtly love has so eloquently been described as “a love at once illicit and morally elevating, passionate and disciplined, humiliating and exalting, human and transcendent."

In honor of this grand tradition and the upcoming Valentine’s Day Holiday, Throne of Lies is proud to announce our next competition: Throne of Love.

Your task is simple: profess your genuine feelings of courtly love to another person, place, object or even our game Throne of Lies in the most beautiful poetry or prose you can muster.

The winners will be the people who ignite our passion, or make us laugh, the most!

Post your best attempt at chivalry here on the forums, on the official Throne of Love reddit post or (if you can manage the brevity/post a screenshot of your journal) on Twitter using the hashtag #ThroneOfLove. REMEMBER: Courtly Love is PG love. Creepy and graphic entries will be deleted and all forum rules still apply!!!

Up to 10 winners will be announced just after Valentine’s Day (February 14th) and each will receive a free copy of Throne of Lies.

This is not school, there will be no deductions for spelling or grammar.

Bonus points to anyone who adds an accompanying Death Note.

“Are” is the plural form, but “Rose” and “Violet” are singular.

Normally, you would say “Roses are red, violets are blue…”, as it is grammatically correct.
