Good townplay comes down to being able to evaluate objectively. If there’s a problem or something that feels wrong, try to put it into a cohesive argument.
When you are biased, the inclination to not look back on the prior gamestate within the context of new information is the thing that kills town
the thing is that I can’t do it. I can’t seem to justify reads.
even when I make a good case and try to use evidence and a lot of stuff it still sucks (my Clash of Cults cases on the LHF were the pinnacle of that)
I’m not trying to shoot down suggestions here just discussing what I could potentially do. wouldn’t be doing this here but we don’t have a Discord do we
ok but that’s tol there’s only a small fol rubric
We could convert my discord that has nobody in it to FoL discord
There technically is an FoL Discord but I’m sort of unclear on the extent to which it’s accepting new members.
You were apparently on it at one point?
yeah there was a FoL Discord in the past but there doesn’t seem to be one now
If ur talking sloth I think anyone’s allowed in you just got to get approved by the hosts of the discord group to see like 90% of the channels and they pretty afk
Sloth is officially NOT related with the forums.
For now, if you want to join a fol discord, there is indeed the forum-of-lies category in our tol discord. FoL discussion is on-topic for that channel, for “general” (if not excessively) and “off-topic”.
How do you make reads if you can’t justify them? Or are they as well really frail and you can be easily shepherded around?
It’s more like… I can justify them but even if I do they’re typically wrong so the justifications must be really bad.
It’s called taking a break from the piano for 6 months and expecting to be a god at playing it
Something in forum mafia
Don’t ever stop trying
You will regret it later, it hurts you in the end run as your reads deteriorate with time
Never try to always win with RNG on your side
I’m not expecting to be a god, I just want to not be trash
that’s all it takes to be a god on this forum
I thought about this and it’s like… when I write the justification, I can’t help but shake off the feeling that I’m convincing myself into thinking this way and not finding evidence. A ton of people have already called my reads illogical and I’m taking this into account. If the general opinion is that my reads tend to make little sense and my arguments are flawed, then it’s probably true.
