random thought. Is it reasonable in nightless, vanilla setups to not check your classcard?

uhhh that isā€¦ not really reasonable

maybe as a joke but people would be pissed

many hosts have explicit rules against this (because if everyone does it then it just turns the game into random guessing)

I think it would improve your scumgame (since you arenā€™t operating under agenda/TMI even subconsciously) and wouldnā€™t change your towngame, but itā€™s probably BM and shouldnā€™t be done.

Its called gamethrowing
We had players trying that before.
Whenever such shenanigans happen, we need to go back to standardize ā€œconfirm classcardā€, and thats just unnecessary boring work

Itā€™s not gamethrowing, itā€™s just cheating.

The main thing that differs people from behaving as a wolf than as a villager is TMI. If a wolf intentionally doesnā€™t read their class card then thereā€™s literally no difference from how theyā€™d behave as a villager so they can easily fake solve.

Itā€™s why NKs and completely uninformed LWs are bad as it turns the game into random guessing. Like, if Kyo in Insurgency had just played normally rather than fakeclaim a voteless ITA-less conditional jailkeeper then he would have survived.

I considered deepwolfing and trying to appear town
Then I realised theyā€™d just implode on themselves anyway, and I didnā€™t want to ITA my team
so I did
nothing

I try to play like town regardless of alignment, but there are slight differences in my playstyle.

If you can point those out then you are pretty good

I donā€™t know about the particular nuances of your playstyle, but I can talk conceptually

When you are town, you are actively advancing your wincon at all times. In practice, you are always in the town mindset.
When you are scum, you are trying to emulate a town mindset. This will always create hiccups as you are ā€œliving a lieā€. As a result, you might struggle to show proper progression as you do know roughly everyoneā€™s alignment (in most cases)
