Seth been trying to find the LW (or 3p) this entire time.
First things first, the lore.
Seth is Diana, Willard’s cat
Willard, according to the wiki (I’ll probably entirely butcher this) was an Inquisitor who hunted for witches, but ended up resigning from the position. He’s not aligned with anyone anymore. Perfect LW or 3p flavor.
On a basic mechanical level:
We have a mason pair in this game, as well as a wolf (gorta’s role) who knows the existence of a specific townie (Battler), and the same goes the other way around.
That’s 2 town who know of eachother’s existence, and a scum and a town who know of eachother’s existence.
Does astand include a mason pair as well as two other townmembers who know of eachother’s existence and rely on eachother mechanically? Possibly. Is it likely? No. It’s overpowered.
And we already have a pairing of scum/town who are aware of eachother. Would we have another? Maybe. Is it likely? Once again. No.
Seth/Willard very likely contains a 3p, or LW.

Keep in mind, as a wolf, Seth almost never communicates with his scumbuds. ‘His scumbuds would never let him do this’ is not a valid argument. He could be a villager, but this wouldn’t be why.

I want to conclude by saying I don’t know if Seth is a wolf but I do think Willard is a 3p/LW
Seth’s behavior is somewhat reminiscent of WoW:BfA2 where he signaled to Leafia (the lost wolf) in poems and shit
But i otherwise think seth has been somewhat townie
