My strongest read that I don’t think is universally agreed-upon would be town!Appelsiini. Appel caught my eye with this post initially:

The event discussion is not really doing anything, to be fair. It’s completely NAI which tree Marl likes, and I feel like wolves would be more inclined to post more rather than stay silent because it’s an easy way to look productive without actually discussing anything substantial?

I would say that therefore Marl having the top posters as town is lol… if it weren’t for the fact that my short-term memory is awful and I already forgot half the posts here

With that said, Wind and Marl (yes, you too) I’m keeping an eye on you

Everyone was sorta just plugging away in-thread with the tree discussion, and this encouraged people to focus more on the game at hand rather than the event discussion. It was a take that nobody but town would have (scum should be content to let Town spiral into tangents), and actively went after people who were sidetracking.

I disagree that Marl necessarily comes out of this looking bad (I still think that it’s NAI imo, and start of D1 when nothing is going on is a good time to play an Event), but focusing on those who were sidetracking discussion was an interesting take on something I hadn’t thought of.

They also seem to be fairly transparent with the thread (always provide good info on where their head’s at when they drop in, #487 as an example), and seems to be providing a unique viewpoint that I can see the thought process behind. They haven’t been the most active thus far, but I’ve been happy with what I’ve seen of their play.

I’ve only played one game with Appel so far, and it was my first. She was town there so I don’t really have anything to compare her to. Without using meta I guess she looks a little stiff in the thread but I can’t say for sure whether it’s AI or not.

Hmmm Appelsinni stiff? Not sure about that though I can sort of understand the thought process here.

I guess the Gorta wagon is at 4 votes now, since Appel also voted Gorta for pressure. It’s a little odd but I guess it’s just a meme? He hasn’t even posted yet so I see these purely as pressure votes cause lol Gorta tree.

GTH min is town, Marl is town, most people are sitting at null for me and I have absolutely no clue what Seth is.

I can get behind min as town. Marl on the other hand I should take a better look at them as SBPC doesn’t clear them as villager.

Min is GTH town to me because I think tonally they seem pretty comfortable in the thread (unlike in SFoL 65, although that was a neut game for them). They didn’t have an awkward entrance and it looks to me like Min immediately focused on Chloe’s post.

They commented on the part that role claims and action claims should not be taken at face value. While it could just be NAI, I think if they were scum they could just as easily let that part slip since it’s kind of likely the town might not think so much about this point without being reminded to again.

This is a pretty good take. I get the same thoughts when I read through it earlier.

Also their reaction to Marl’s tree event is a good look for them. Their perspective makes sense.

Conclusion: Windward goes into town read as well.
