I don’t know context and it should not be my business, but wtf I’ve seen enough of people feeling bad because someone does not respect them and you are clearly doing that if you say he did not feel the way he literally just said he does. Instead of trying to justify your actions, realize you can hurt people wanting it or not and just apologize.
