Me townreading zone being zone was right though, even if you made fun of my read it was right.
And ‘going apeshit’ is a strong over exaggeration. My play day 1 was by far the best out of the entire town including yourself.
Doesn’t mean that it’s not hard to fake.
Just wait until Zone eventually gets that people TR him for that shit and he’ll just start self-destructing non-stop as a wolf.
It’s why I don’t TR anti-town plays regardless of meta anymore. It’s stupidly easy to fake it and it’s beneficial for wolves to do it since it both makes them TR’d and hurts the town.

Mafia and Town can both make anti-town plays but it’s extremely rare for a mafia to make an anti-mafia play

It’s harder to fake reads than to self-destruct.
Plus making reads can potentially give out spew while self-destructing does nothing bad for wolves.

people in mafia games are going to do whatever they want
you can’t accuse people of being anti-town because they aren’t playing like you want them to play. as long as a player is trying to fulfill their wincon and isn’t breaking the forum/game rules, it really shouldn’t matter how they approach it. sure, it can be frustrating when a player doesn’t give you much to work with, or when a player is doing something you think will lead your faction off a cliff, but such is the nature of mafia. people are going to have different investment levels and different WiM, different reasoning skills and self-control, etc.
players making plays that end up hurting their faction is their prerogative, and as long as they aren’t knowingly throwing the game, it’s fine
you may not like dealing with play you find anti-town, but you’re signing up for it when you type /in in the sign-ups thread. just deal with it and try to solve around it like mistyx said, or try to read into it instead of dismissing it because you don’t want to bother
i personally prefer the first option, but both are valid
i know this sounds like “poor play should become accepted and expected,” but realistically, you’re going to find poor play in most mafia games - so you might as well suck it up, buttercup, and try to read people with that in mind
i prefer to assume that players are trying to fulfill their wincons, unless they are very blatantly throwing. while i really dislike some strategies (i could give examples, but i feel like i’d be opening pandora’s box), i try to take people’s play in stride and solve around it

I can accuse someone of being anti-town because they chainsawed a wolf purely because “pushing weaker players/slankers is scummy” and I will lynch them regardless of what happens.
If you don’t want me to tunnel you, then don’t defend wolves for shit reasons.

I think Alice has the right idea honestly. If we stop defending bad ppl lays from players, those bad plays will bad plays will be less likely to happen in the future.
