So I think I’m only just now realizing how hard it is to play with new people. Like, my last game, I played with like 4, and I thought that went fine. But this is a lot harder.

Ig I had no idea how much of my reads needed meta.

I should wait to reveal my peek until everybody has spoken, right?
So I don’t really have anything but gut reads (and my peek), but I feel like derps is possibly more town than not…?

I definitely mindmelded with arete last game (and I think I’m still slightly affected), so I’m not gonna make any read on him soon (by late D1, probs).

Marshal seems null to me, although I have rather enjoyed his current method of posting. I hope it doesn’t last for too long into D1, however.

I think squid has posted quite a bit, but for whatever reason, I don’t seem to remember what he was doing.

I’m sure I’ll have a much easier time reading my fellow CDites, but I think only ari has posted so far. (Plus like 1 from GKB)

The specific thing I remember noticing in the invitational was you overreacting to RVS votes

also you had kind of :eyes: associations but I’m not expecting to live long enough to meaningfully make postflip associative reads

The first example that comes to mind is a game I played on MU, where Lukundo got like 4 votes in RVS for some reason (in a 17er) and Pilica was like ‘gosh those sure are a lot of votes, surely if he were a wolf his scummates would be doing something about it?’ and then both of them were mafia

but it varies a lot by person

With you in particular in the invitational you just seemed generally overconcerned about RVS votes, which is weirdly common among wolves

Honestly, I kinda love the “If the XX wagon was on a wolf, the wolves would be doing something about it” argument.

While true, it is also self defeating, since some is doing something about it.

But useful nonetheless. I’ve used it before too.
