It was actually Arete’s readlist which pinged me.
She basically forced Merc into her townreads and when I pointed it out she instantly removed merc with the excuse ‘i dont know what I was thinking.’
Unlucky for Arete that my soulread of Merc coincided with her readlist so she couldnt adjust her reads to accomodate.
Also Arete’s pushing on Set despite my clear of him really made me think she was pushing an agenda.
She was like ‘yeah i think merc is scummy but set is more scummy.’ and also ‘look James is really scummy too.’
Really felt like she was trying to shift off of Merc.
His townread on me works on the assumption that STB is town, which contradicts with the rest of his read being that he put STB as a scumlean.
If Arete was successful in delaying Merc’s lynch for 2 days on the basis set and james were worse, she could’ve knocked off you and I at night leaving Dat and 2 inactives.
I think the delay was mostly due to how much the JOAT scales with a succesful wolf lynch, tbh.
A wolf lynch d1 means that the JOAT’s effectively a cop that can get green checks if nobody dies.

I actually didn’t want to reveal this arete read until EoD because I wanted to see if Merc would spew her even more.
Arete basically refused to interact with me about Merc and instead pressured Set about the hedging at the start.
/vote Mercenary Luxy’s wallpost was quality content.
I’ll re-examine in a few hours (before I go to sleep) in case there’s any weird changes or interactions in the meantime.
It’s like every game here you have at least a third of players that either post very little content or none at all.
At least it looks like the wolves are actually posting being that I’m getting scumreads unlike PyMM.

Reminds me of the time I townread HTM for not realizing the he was in a game by D3 as he’d probably get pinged by wolfchat were he a wolf.
Yep, it was correct. Reading people as town for not realize what the hell is going on works pretty well as wolves, even lurking ones, get a lot of their info summarized to them in wolf chat.
