I’m going to check if Dat made any decisions like ‘If Merc is wolf then James is town’ that might change his softed night action but I doubt it.
Nope nothing about James being town if Merc flipped mafia in Dats ISO. All his posts were associating Merc/James/Arete in PoE and nothing suggests that Dat would change his target after softing it.

Really do think the game is solved there are barely any directions the game can take now unless you or alice are bamboozling us. Or Dat softed a night action he didn’t do

It’s pretty much why I still think James is locktown here. Merc had negative rather than clearing interactions with James and before Merc claimed Dat was tunneling James.
For Dat to crumb JK’ing James and having him as a top scumread it makes me think it’s completely unlikely for him to have swapped his jail to someone else at the last second.
Thinking it may be just Arete by now being that there really isn’t any reason not to clear James here unless he wants to do it solely to expand the PoE.
W!Arete would need to mislynch James/Hja/Red or STB to win, most realistically Red over STB.
If James is cleared, then he’d need to mislynch Hja/Red and either STB/me/You to win, all three of us who had very strong interactiions with Merc.
Low-key if Hja ends up being a villager here despite doing nothing but trying to get a V CW to a W going on, making that fruitless reaction test to piss me off, and spamming the thread claiming that they’re lock-town and that they want to be given free towncred then I’m going to be pretty pissed.
I’d imagine in this case the progression would look horrible for Arete being that he would have gone from TR’ing to SR’ing Merc without a realistic shift between them.
Yes all actions are made to do that and totally not for other purposes like getting reads
