I actually reread City’s ISO yesterday and what I saw is that they voted Silviu first at EoD. When asked why, they first said they didn’t know, then that they wanted a third wagon to exist out of the top two which were Marl and Leafia.
I thought this was towny because I thought Marl and Leafia were t/t, but if Marl is mafia it actually makes perfect sense for w!City to vote elsewhere to avoid incrimination by voting Leafia first, and also to avoid pushing Marl over.
What I wrote in my notes overnight that I’ve had in my notes since early in D1 is that City and Marl are almost always aligned, i.e. I think if one is a wolf then the other also is. So I had linked their slots to each other because of something City did during D1 when they gave a readlist, and they specifically put that they read Marl as vig. I asked why they were discussing PRs publicly and they said “because I can”, which was NAI.
The thing is that I fully expected more of a push on Marl to develop, and/or for him to get NK’d, for the speculation, but absolutely nobody other than me commented on it. Even Marl didn’t say anything about it. And I brought it up once or twice before, but I also gave this explanation in the word vomit that I pasted when I entered the thread at SoD here.
So actually, I’m willing to read both City and Marl as mafia together because it makes a lot of sense as a team.
It does, however, also make me wolfread Vulgard because of his dismissive attitude toward City being town (similarly to Marl’s), his push on Clownzu which for some reason I still don’t entirely agree with, his sudden switch on the Marl push, and his dismissive read on me yesterDay. He’s still a priority slot I want to look at, but there’s also some truth to what Marl said about probably never going at each other’s throats if they were w/w, so I’m still thinking it over.
