I’m honestly really demotivated, and reading the thread now isn’t making me feel any more inclined to solve the game. I know I should be doing that, but I feel like I wouldn’t be able to convince anyone of it anyway.

Based on play today, I think January’s been significantly worse than cloned, despite having significantly more posts. Everything he posts seems intent on clearing him and misvoting a villager. And since January and cloned are never together based on their interactions, I think there’s a wolf in the two — and I’m leaning toward it being January. My preferred crossvote now would be January and cloned.

Windward is town. Windward is the only other player in this game who’s also been trying to solve the whole time, and the only other player who’s been believably frustrated about everything. Furthermore, her claim that she busses is easily verifiable. But I’m not even using that as the cornerstone of my read on her.

As for City, I know I was supposed to ISO them, and I still plan to. I’ve just found myself unable to do anything like an ISO because I’m so tired of it all.

Zone and min fit plenty of wolfteams, both ones with cloned and ones with January. But I’m not sure which one of them is a wolf. Maybe both are. I think min’s ISO on day 1 was fairly towny overall, with some questionable moments early on. I need to re-check Zone when I’m feeling better. As for their play today, I think Zone’s been… fine? That’s how I feel about his overall play this game. It’s fine, it isn’t something I’d consider super wolfy, but it’s also not as aggressive as I’d expect from village!Zone. But he also said he was changing his playstyle, so I’m trying to factor that into my read.

Zone and min wouldn’t be a terrible crossvote, either, but I can already tell I’ll have a hard time deciding which one to vote if they aren’t V/V.

Zone and min would be a terrible crossvote.

The problem is they both fit a lot of wolfteams, so there being a wolf between them isn’t out of the question.

Would you be willing to crossvote with cloned instead, if you’re so dismissive of the other option?

Vulgard, What do you think?

I don’t want to crossvote with anyone because I think that even if I do vote correctly, the chances of me winning the crossvote are minuscule. I’d rather have someone else place the first vote; I think that increases our chances of winning. Too many players think I’m mafia at this point, me voting someone first has a higher risk of a villager misvote.

I just hope me voting someone in a crossvote isn’t going to make people think “haha, he voted that player, which means they are town! Let’s vote the person Vulgard isn’t voting.” Which… honestly, it might happen, but odds should be lower than in the case of me being crossvoted.

If, from a purely mathematical standpoint, Everyone else is a 50% 50% split between town and wolf, and there was one person I knew was town, why would I make the person I know was town have to make a 50% 50% choice, instead of making someone else do it?

Depends.

Unless I place an incorrect vote, but in that case, we’re just going to lose instantly, so it’s not going to matter.

Would I ask if I already knew the answer? I’m not a lawyer. I tried out a law course at university and dropped out after the first semester.

If you tried at law university, you know a little about law at least.

I now regret bringing that up.

Also Vul, you crossvoting will only get you killed if the other target is bad person to crossvote.

I did a law course at university and it was awful
lol

how come failing law students come to the TOL forums

But that’s the thing. I feel like regardless of whom I vote, I’m going to get voted by a villager, and that’s an instant game over.

I’m perfectly fine with voting second, for example, but voting first is too risky even if I do get it correct.

i’m a software engineer, i don’t do law lol
it was just a weird required course for specific reasons

Im not voting you unless the target you vote is god-awful.
