You rush over things, panicky and decide you need to quickly say it but you end up messing it up without realizing it because someone caught you.
I’ve seen it in FM before.

This is where you’re wrong. If you believe that Gorta/Sulit and Gorta/Flameo are both T/S then lynching Gorta clears both Flameo and Sulit as town for you if Gorta flips scum, and if he somehow flips town, we know both wolves.

Also I would like your thoughts on Catlover/PK. I’m tinfoiling they started a CFD on day 1 on Gorta precisely to stop a CFD or votes going back to Mole. Basically if Gorta flips scum, CatLover good, basically cleared, if not, they need to be a wagon. Yes yes this sets up future lynches blabla. Maybe I die this night, so I want to have this be looked at, which is kind of hard now that we have a replacement… so meeh.

I think CatLover has written some Very Good villagery posts. My suspicion on their slot is mostly a combination of paranoia and lolbussing tinfoil.

I honestly think the game is easy, the wagon on Mole was pure, and we’re on the right track. Obviously that won’t be the case if we start yeeting villagers, but that’s my headspace right now.

Vulgard seems very over-eager. I want to see if he keeps this level of high WiM later on and what he does with it. He seems super polarizing right now, kind of a “you love him, or you hate him” type guy. I am honestly not sure where most of these reads come from, I see a lot of unsubstantiated posts just saying that he is a mafia or he is a town with no reasoning.

I think his eagerness, specifically to solve, is townie. This read is subject to change, it depends on how he handles his posting, but so far it seems like he is responding to and consuming as many posts as he can, and thoroughly enjoying it. From my experience, both how I personally feel and what I’ve seen over my years of playing, is that wolves often do not genuinely enjoy faking solving (I sure don’t ) , and vulgard just seems realy happy with himself!

Maybe I am biased because I like to see people enjoying themselves, but the way he is going through posts and his tone while doing so gives me the vibe of “town member who is having fun towning”.

This post looks villagery to me.

Right now I cannot say I am a huge fan of ash4fun! His tone and actions both feel very much like a mafia who is trying to blend in with the crowd. It all feels so… forced!

He pops in with an opener asking to talk to people, and as soon as he’s confronted with it, he just freezes up!

He pops back in with reads instead, but as I said earlier, I do not think his reasoning on the two people he claimed to townread actually match up when he looks at other slots, and it’s more likely the reads are faked!

Okay so I read a bit and I think I really like elephas and flameo so far.

not sure what the beef is with mole but I do see him being kinda antaonistic with leafia. Leafia feels like town here off of first impression.

These two posts in particular ping me as towny. Feels like you’ve got a good idea of what needs to get done and trying to do it–sort of vibe.

Elephas looks like he’s trying to do the work, but with just a bit more defensiveness (a normal level, not hyper-defensive)

I confronted him on this, and in an attempt to understand his mindset, asked for his read on me. The hope was that his mindset would match up but he says that he did not notice it to the “same degree” with me. It just feels like super blanket-level statements and I have serious doubts that his original reads were real at all.

This is not OMGUS. I am not mafia-reading him for not townreading me. I am mafia-reading him because he should have noticed after reading my ISO my level of proactivity. I honestly would expect him to do that but instead he stands firm on his original stance and says he didn’t notice it the same degree.

It’s not conclusive hard evidence, but this kind of rigidity makes me think he cares more about blending in and justifying reads than actually making any!

I would like people’s thoughts on this. I will respond to some of Elephas’s posts because they seem to be putting out some reads and logic that i’m interested in following and analysing.

I have read Ele’s posts and I’d like to say they seem to have a fairly similar approach to me? We are both new to this site and I definitely feel like they are experiencing same amount of culture clash that I am. Things like this game going very fast, people posting Way too much!!! , and the general playstyle of longer catchup posts.

As far as their alignment, I like their approach to the game, and I think it is good, but I cannot say that it is exactly town indicative. I more want to see where they go once they have gotten responses from the questions they have asked before I make a judgment on that player.

As far as their actual points, I mind-melded on their response to ash and similarly dislike katze’s level of memery. It just floods the thread and is generally anti-town and I would like it to stop.

I have no thoughts on their other points.

As I can only choose a single player to vote at a time, I have a Finger of Suspicion on Leafia, Wiisp, Vulgard. Vulgard is no longer in the thread or I would place a vote there.

This worries me slightly! Ele claims to have 3 people under the FoS but in the end didn’t vote one of those three. Likely just a miscommunication, but I want an explination. @Elephas, do you mafia-read Moleland and have him under the FoS, or is there a different reason for placing that vote?

Boy oh boy is all of this tiring. I will be open to questions but probably won’t make that many long walls for the night. How I am in the bottom half of posters is beyond me, I feel like I have put more effort into this game than I have in any other recently.

A good rule of thumb is that if you think someone is a PR, they are probably mafia. We should not be afraid to push people because you read them as JOAT, and we should not be talking about joating in public any more.

I read ash4fun’s wall on me and it is at least an improvement , but it feels like it’s trying to speak directly to me instead of to the general audience. A lot of things are said in 2nd person (2nd person means “you” statments), which doesn’t feel exactly right when making a case for all others to see. When a town case on myself from someone else seems to be primarily addressed at me, it makes me feel like he cares more about me knowing he townreads me than actually letting the thread know that i’m town.

I am looking forward to the other cases as I am probably biased on this one myself, but right now, my vote is not moving.

I think this isn’t the type of post a wolf writes. I know this is half-baked but I just think their posts have been very towny.

My take on that post specifically is “not a GOOD idea but more likely to be suggested by an overeager villager than not,” especially in this gamestate. Regardless of gorta/sulit’s alignment, I don’t think a wolf bothers to write this.

PsychoKing – Subbed into CatLover, who had emotional posts dunking on Mole. Now, I don’t think it was unfakeable as W/W, but they had also had some towny posts earlier, where they focused on solving. They also had excellent, pure tone, although that matters a bit less. Re-evaluate in YeetLo, just like the Wisp slot; make sure to look at it holistically.

I feel like my brain is in a tunnel. Last post on them, but I thought CatLover’s reaction there was actually overblown for how contained they have showed themselves.
