As to those scumteams you proposed, Dat (I believe they were [Tan, Hippo], [Marshal, Priestess] and [Italy, Katze]), I donā€™t think any of them are right. I know that Iā€™m town and I think that Hippo was getting baited by scumā€™s attempts to paint Marshal as deepwolf, so that doesnā€™t work. Marshal and Priestess would mean that we had two deepwolves, both of whom pushed out Mist D3 and one of whom facilitated hammer, which doesnā€™t feel right from scum perspective unless they were trying to cut the day off (but even then, youā€™d think that scum!Marshal would have tried to put the vote on Hippo instead), so that doesnā€™t work. And with the interactions between Kat and Italy outside of votes, the only way theyā€™re scummates is if Kat has secretly been trying to bus Italy this whole damn time, so that doesnā€™t work.

I think that scum was trying to paint the deepwolf theory by leaving talkative townies alive, and Hippo bought it. I donā€™t think heā€™s the scum trying to push that theory because heā€™d be more tunnely on Marshal (the initial deepwolf suspect) if that were the case.

Scum!Hippo pushing the deepwolf theory only makes sense to me if there isnā€™t actually a deepwolf (otherwise scum wouldnā€™t be doing that play). Given that and their responses toward everyone else that was in the PoE at the time, the only slot that makes sense to have been scum with Hippo was Possessed, and Possessed flipped town. Thatā€™s exactly why I said that a Possessed town flip would pull Hippo out of PoE in my eyes; Possessed being scum meant that scum!Hippo wouldnā€™t have had any allies, which doesnā€™t work since we still have two scum up.
