I still don’t think we’ve heard a good defense from Italy at this point, I’m basically convinced that he’s scum. Town!Italy can slank too, but he’ll usually have focused up by now and be trying. Italy isn’t doing that here.

Having ISOed Merc so that I could give a proper answer to this question, I find something that makes this question rather disturbing to me; Merc has barely spoken after the first two days. A lot of pushing on Luxy (which can be justified at the time), then after D2 Merc just pops in every so often, at one point even delivering this gem:
It bothers me that Merc basically admits to having left the slot to you, and your defense to being called scummy is “Well, is Merc scummy too?”. I say yes for the same reason that I say Italy is scum here; chronic slanking.
