Killing Marshal in general was the best play for scum here. If Marshal survived tonight, he probably would have voteswapped thinking that it was suspicious that he wanted Kat pushed so hard and lived. Scum would thus want the Kat lynch, and Kat isnā€™t big-brained enough to play into that.
