Maxi, can you explain the thought process behind the Alice vote?

I find Arete odd as well. It seems like he’s already taking a back seat in the thread. He’s been present in two interactions (Geyde/Shuri/Magnus and Geyde/Hja/Maxi) but he hasn’t taken a stance, he’s just asked questions and posted stuff that barely advances the thread state.

Someone brought up the Planters game earlier in the thread, I just skimmed it and Maxi’s unconnected-to-threadstate opening vote in that game was on his scumbuddy. I’d actually be more inclined to SR Alice if Maxi flips scum although I’d want to check if he had a pattern first because meta-ing from one game is silly.

Another example of the mentioned above.

Threadstate-wise if Maxi is scum I don’t think any of his partners are active in the thread at the moment, he feels basically alone right now and I don’t expect wolves would bus 30 minutes into D1 in this set-up.

I feel like if there’s anyone in this interaction that’s his scummate it could be Kyo.

Just an addition I’m mind-melding with Geyde I’m almost every thought I make so I’d put him at light town.

Actually disagree with this one more-or-less based on personal experience; I feel more need to justify leaving the thread as wolf but I’m pretty sure I’ve said things along those lines as both alignments.’

The bigger problem here as you pointed out is that he completely ignored it the first time you pointed it out – I could buy it being a joke but then he should have said that the first time.

This one is the one I find most persuasive; we’d more or less shifted into actual non-RVS votes almost at the start of the thread and voting someone who isn’t in the thread for ‘interactions’ really doesn’t seem effective, since they can’t, you know, interact with you. The transition back into RVSing from not that is really out of touch with the thread and feels like scum who wants to contribute and so jumps in with an RVS vote to look productive

This post is okay and engages more than his previous posts. I still find him scummy because I get a like floating vibe from him, like he’s trying to distance himself from the actual big interactions.

I liked how Arete handled the me/hja interaction. Instead of furthering or at least letting the interaction grow for agenda reasons, they broke it up with plausible logic tbh
Their impact on thread hasn’t been particularly noteworthy until they were given the opportunity by other players to make that impact on thread.
I don’t see them forcing their presence on thread is what I mean, or else it would be more pronounced

I agree on the point they didn’t make an impact on the thread till given the opportunity, but I still don’t really like how it took him a while to comment on the big interactions so far. I still want his opinions on the Shur Magnus thing.

You’re really trying pretty hard. Nothing has truly pinged me as of right now.
I will probably have to re-read though. Having no substantial read other than Hja town and Geyde maybe town at this stage of the match feels underwhelming, so oof.

Arete has been trending upwards tbh. It feels like it took them some time to really get going in this game, but once they did I liked what I saw. Can’t really say what though unless I re-read.
