My main worry regarding Magnus is that their opener was comparatively similar to Black Flag in the way they handled posts regarding the setup (saying shit which wasn’t present whatsoever), which was why I latched so hard onto it.

Marshal should be easier one to read from that.
I’m reading Vulgard with the context of SFoL53 in mind, though.
The lack of confidence here is usually a scumtell for them but after the clusterfuck that was that game happened I’d expect Vulgard to be more cautious and careful. Same thing happened to me after Ninjas and Guns.
I was inclined to say that Vul’s was very good initially, but they didn’t actually engage with what you were saying like I’d expect a cornered v to do

Also, real reactions show up in rather stressful situations, so them being more confident when pushed is… better?
I find that thread spiraling downward into hysteria due to their responses is the actually good thing from the interaction on their side
