I don’t know Vulgard’s proclivities that well, but I think you bring up a decent point that he may be more apt to “phone it in” a little bit more likely as a villager than a wolf.
Couple reasons why:
- He’s stated a couple of times that he prefers wolfing rather than villaging
- He got pretty disheartened at the endgame of Ciconia when everyone was kinda memeing on him about him directing the lunch to three townies
This is pretty hard for me to put myself in the shoes of because I vastly prefer villaging to wolfing, but I can see a world where Vulg gets a v role PM and then goes “damn, I was hoping to rand wolf in this playerlist”. But my question then would be, why would you purposefully overplay your reads early on and be dishonest about that? If I’m feeling unconfident about my abilities as a villager, then I would play the game normally but tell people to take my reads with a grain of salt because I have a track record of being inaccurate.
So yeah that’s how I view it. I can see worlds where he’s v (and I hope that is the case, because if I get there on him and he gets there on me, then the scumteam in this game is gonna be destroyed) but the main thing I was looking for in his early posts is some sort of spark or nuance that I think showed that he was actively reading the thread or had a hard time being faked and I just don’t really get that from him atm

latching on to vulgard and pointing out all the inconsistencies in his posts is probably why he’s felt so frozen and easy enough for me to find as a wolf

Vulgard probably hyperaware of rule of threes so possible will is a villager
just because vulgard wouldn’t want to put a single mate into the w category to intentionally avoid the rule of threes
also possible i’m just thinking with too much wifom and will is vulgard’s partner, but that shouldn’t be something i consider today anyway
either way vulgard’s poe is really really bad

Windward should have absolutely been in Vulg’s PoE I feel at the the time because she literally did nothing except for introducing herself while drunk.
The fact that he slid her in as town here makes me think that he’s either being dishonest about his reads, or he’s so confident in me/will/Eli wolf that he thinks everyone else is town - which I don’t believe to be the case.

if the trademark of your wolf game wasn’t it sucking donkey doodoo i’d say you might actually be a potential vulgard partner
also the fact that you haven’t caught on to prophy being an obvious villager is painful
