Chloe's post on Vulgard
this post here is something I’m used to seeing from t!Chloe. The reason I don’t think this is necessarily just hedge is because she gives reasons why she thinks Vulgard’s play has been sketchy, and also why he could still be a villager, but expresses a massive amount of uncertainty as well as frustration that looks more like she’s trying to legitimately figure Vulgard out than just saying he could flip either way and calling it a day.
or maybe it’s just that last bit at the end that’s making me think it’s t!Chloe, idk

but yeah, idk why nobody else really was commenting on it except for Arctic. Tbf GGhana said none of my posts were memorable so maybe that counts as a comment, but it wasn’t that specific.
I didn’t even know what the consensus was at that point so I’m not really sure how I could be following consensus, but good to know ig.
As for meta reliance, I’m not going to deny that. I knew I was relying way more on meta to assess the chunk of posts I’d read because I wasn’t really in the mood to read the other 500 posts or so, and I was hoping to get in some interactions later on because I work better when I can ask questions to people while they’re in the thread based on what I’ve backread before that. But there weren’t too many people around and really only Arctic interacted with me directly, and then GGhana once I prodded him for ignoring my posts.
In all honesty I think no matter how i’d entered the thread i would’ve gotten heat for it because i never enter the thread correctly lmao. I don’t really know what to do about that because my openers are always stiff and awkward. It’s kind of like how i suck at starting conversations but i’m perfectly fine with jumping into the middle of one, I guess it’s a personality thing, and I managed somehow to exacerbate the effect this time by wallposting.
also, for whatever dumb reason I was worried about hitting the post limit until I realized it wasn’t as much of a hindrance as i thought it would be, so never mind that.
is this supposed to mean you agree with Alice or just that you want another wagon to exist? because getting voted out wasn’t in my plans this game lol.

Unfortunately I had a real problem getting into this game yesterday, I have to admit
We ended the party around 5 in the morning and I got very little sleep and then had to go back and clean the room, give the keys back, took a short nap, and was dead inside for the rest of the day but still had to do something here, and for once in my life i was just not really enthusiastic about catching up on the posts. I wanted live interaction instead so I could use it to gauge people’s alignments, but as I said before, really only Arctic interacted with me, followed by GGhana. Otherwise I felt like everything I said was being ignored, GGhana said it wasn’t memorable, and I thought maybe I just fucked up by being too hungover when I was in the thread.
I know I can’t use it as an excuse for everything, but anyway I’m stepping up my game today because I’m not hungover and don’t want to get ML’d immediately. But I did say in the signup thread that I’d join if the game started on Sunday and not Saturday, and I kind of regret that I didn’t just let someone else take my space since I knew this was going to happen anyway.
I’m still pretty confident I’m not going to be the vote for today, though. I have no reason to let myself go over so easily.

Ok so I haven’t fully caught up on the thread yet and realistically i’m not going to read everything but the posts I thought looked towny from you were from what I read yesterday morning. I don’t remember exactly where they were but the impression they gave me were just that there were cogs turning in your head
like there was a post where you said Vulgard seemed to be intentionally wolfy but the way you put it, regardless of Vul’s alignment, looked like you were analyzing his behavior in a way that wasn’t like you were just slapping a read on him
it’s kind of the same thing in that other post i quoted from you here, where i said it didn’t look that hedgy (but apparently other people disagreed)
tbf I’ve never been in a game where you were a wolf so idk how well you can fake your progressions but it felt natural.
there was also the post you made about gghana around the time i was in the thread that i gave some thought to and i think people’s opinions of him were fairly polarized based on what i’d read, correct me if i’m wrong
I think I remember reading someone saying your opener was bad and i haven’t read it yet, but tbh i’m not making it a priority to read your opener because iirc you also get scumread for your openers as any alignment and i think your alignment should be more obvious from your later posts.

basically, i feel like WWA’s not really evaluating whether chloe’s post is villagery; she just saw that it looked good and plopped a townread on it for that reason alone

why is that off? she’s also made an effort to get me to interact with her, which is more than i can say for most of the players so far who really don’t look like they’re trying to solve me when i’m in the thread.

why do you think i’m making them up, though? i know i saw some people wolfreading chloe which is why i didn’t want to slap a townread on her because i thought i had missed something, but from the posts i saw from her which were roughly mid-thread, i didn’t see anything that particularly stood out to me except maybe that one post on you followed by acknowledgement that she had kind of hedged her read
but it’s not enough of a red flag for me to say it’s wolfy

because i don’t see an indication that there was a genuine thought process in your townread on chloe
the reasons you’re giving for the townread are vague “chloe’s posts are good” reasons that don’t tell me anything about why you find them villagery
you call her natural a lot (pretty much across the entire read), but that’s not really saying much
basically, i think the lack of insight in the read is the wolfy thing about it
especially since chloe’s a strong wolf (i don’t care about her opinion on that subject), so calling her a villager because her posts feel “natural,” and because she “looks like she’s genuinely trying to figure out somebody’s alignment,” doesn’t seem sufficient to me

Idk, as I said before I’ve never seen her wolf but I think the way she was waffling on her read on you earlier was totally unnecessary for a wolf to do,especially since you’re in the PoE.
Same thing with her read on GGhana, wasn’t he also getting wolfread? It would have been easier for a wolf to push on GGhana unless they’re exactly scummates imo.

i’ve already said twice that mine wasn’t better
however, a big component of my read on chloe is the fact she keeps going rather than eating townreads for her initial effort
i know she prefers being town and i know she’s tryharding this game regardless of alignment (probably), i just think she’d feel somewhat inclined to stop going so hard as a wolf, especially after the majority of the game townread her for it even despite her rocky start
