i do have a question, though - i recall that in the game you/me/vulgard played on the syndicate (which was a really rough game lol), vulgard put a lot of time and effort into pocketing arete specifically - the majority of his game seemed to revolve around pocketing arete in overly elaborate ways. whereas his posts here don’t feel like they are pockety toward anyone in particular (beyond maybe leafia) - do you know if it’s typical of his wolfgame for him to try to elaborately pocket people?

I’m not sure, but I’m pretty sure his wolfmeta isn’t constant - in that it changes based on his surroundings
He pocketed specifically Arete in that game because Arete (prior to that game) repped a very strong ability to read Vulgard and he would need to get on their good side

There’s no Arete-like player in this playerlist when it comes to reading him so I don’t expect him to go for that strategy, really

I was sorta preoccupied with being grumpy and solving elsewhere that I didn’t pay much attention to him

Also I talked to the guy before the game even started lol

Not sure if I have excessive expectations of Proph but he kind of feels underwhelming, tbfh.

I feel like much of his posts have just been a regurgitation of what was already said earlier and his readlist so far has been extremely consensus-y as is it basically re-states the thread’s opinions on the more LHF-y players while in addition much of his real-time has just been talk irt peoples metas which can be very easily faked.

I don’t think anything he’s done yet as been overtly villagery and I’m not finding him as easily and with as much confidence as I did in DVC last game, so I’m kinda worried for basically the same reasons you listed

Don’t townread/wolfread people for meta talk as that’s extremely easy to do as either alignment, tbfh.

I basically share the sentiment with SPF that while Proph’s posts are good, they’re not exactly villagery.
