Apple what’s worse is that it seems he was hoping to somewhat pocket those who were driving the discussion. I remember seeing a post of him towncoring those who appeared to be driving discussion the most at that time, which while people would do if they interacted with them and felt them out he did none of that and just went with it

After a long day of debating, the sentient ice-cream-based life forms decided that they needed to come to an agreement. More time might let them be more accurate, yes, but if they waited too long they were going to run out of generator power.
“So who is it going to be?” asked the Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. “We have to choose someone…” He glanced around the room nervously.
Everyone was silent for a moment. Then at last, the Mango ice cream stepped forward. “I think Coffee is one of the traitors,” she said. “She was skulking around near the room where Arete and Marshal were on the night when they died. Maybe she was the killer?”
“I had perfectly good reasons to be there,” said Coffee. “I know it’s suspicious, but please–”
The crowd murmured.
“I think it could be coincidence,” said the Raspberry ice cream. “I like to take walks at night, sometimes, and that feels like the sort of thing that could easily have happened to me. I don’t want to kill an innocent person – that makes us no better than the traitors.”
“But if we don’t, then eventually we’ll just run out of power, and then we’ll all die,” said Strawberry. “I know this is a risk, but this is a risk I’m willing to take.”
Coffee closed their eyes. “Fine,” they said. “I – maybe this will let the rest of you survive.”
The ice cream-based life forms led Coffee out to the sealed dual doors that marked the barrier between their world and the outside. Several of them shuddered as they watched Coffee slowly make their way into the blizzard outside. All of them had heard tales of a beast known as SirDerpsALot, who lurked outside, ready to devour any ice cream that dared to leave behind their facility, though none knew if those tales were true, or merely a rumor made up to scare them away.
“So what do we do now?” asked the Strawberry ice cream. “Should we all go back to our rooms and sleep?”
“That’s a terrible idea,” said Raspberry. “If we do that, then the traitors can just kill us at night, and we won’t be able to stop them. We should sleep together, in the common room, so that if anyone tries to, you know, commit murder, we’ll notice.”
And the eleven of them slept, and when they woke they were ready to continue the search.
